Last year for £50000 of cover we paid my current company £99.
Just had renewable notice and they want £172 .
Well we don't need £50000 cover but that is the lowest they do

Much more expensive here Vic, although we do have earthquake included.
And our house has been built to a very high spec. We paid 304 euros last week, for all the contents and a re/build.

When I took on this tenancy about 19 years ago the Landlord's Fixtures and Fittings insurance was included in the rent. About ten years ago I broke a phone and tried to make a claim but was told that I needed personal contents insurance for that - ah well!
To cut a long story short I did a deal with the landlord and hunted round for a combined policy and found one with RSA for £10.13 pcm and got a bit knocked off the rent. it is now £13.27pcm so I am happy as all angles are covered. The landlord holds the buildings insurance.

I pay about £260.00 for buildings and contents.
It is unlimited for buildings and £150,000 for contents. It includes accidental damage and emergency callout for leaks electrical failures , blocked toilets etc.
I getquotes from differentcompanieswhen it is due for renewal.
I get the cheapest with the cover I want. Have made a few very smallclaims over the years. They have always ben paid out promptly.
