Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 30 Dec 2024, 07:23

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 19°. It looks like this for the next ten days. 8-)

I'll have my walk shortly. :D

Need to nip to Mercadona for some salady bits and post a couple of birthday cards. :)

Conor's coming over late afternoon and we'll go to Gambrinus for a beer and tapas. :D

Have a great day.

Only 14C when I got up. There is lots of blue sky now the sun is coming up.

Am going into town just to getout of the house and met people.
Will put the washing on when I get back as the basket is getting full. I never leave the washer or dryer on unless I am in the house.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny but cold. Will soon warm up.

First washing machine load in, another to follow. And another lesson for Grumpy, how to hang washing out

Making a keema curry for tomorrow and meeting friends down at the bar later.

It was Jose's birthday on Saturday and he surpassed himself by buying us all a beer :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

That's a beautiful temperature Ally :D xx

Good idea to get out for fresh air Cruiser, and also very sensible about the washer and dryer too ;) xx

Hoping he'll get the hang of it, Jan! :x   xx

It's looking like a dry day here, but we're on the move - over to my ex's to see Harry and collect B. Things are very amicable these days, so we'll probably order in some food before setting back, and Harry has presents to open :) Hoping the roads aren't too manic - the M4 and M25 can be a nightmare between Xmas and New Year, although we can avoid the 25 if necessary by coming off the M4 earlier at Bracknell and going through Ascot and Virginia Water, so we'll play it by ear........

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s sunny with a beautiful red sky at the moment.

The washing machine is on, looks like being the last decent drying day this week. Cruiser, I never leave the washer or dishwasher on while I’m out either. I think Joe’s off to Jade’s this morning and then me and him are off up the M6 at teatime.

There’s a Tesco delivery coming this morning and Royal Mail are supposed to be delivering the Amazon subscribe and save order today. We’ll see.

Have a good day all, and safe travels Kaz x

Good morning.
Sunny here atm. 19c, i'm happy if we get that in summer.
We had a very busy day yesterday; Sunday dinner was for six adults one child and one baby. Lots of prep and a load of washing up.
A quieter day today. We may take Dobby for a walk. Little Ethan is doing what babies do, sleep all day and cry for attention all night. It's very hard for parents isn't it? But it does get better.
have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, we got up very late this morning, Edward seems to have a similar bug to me. I had a poor night’s sleep so no doubt snoozing in the chair will happen - I did consider going back to bed but didn’t really want to do that. We had a nice time dancing yesterday but it was interesting that our hosts N and A, who are also our friends, have the same bug so as we met up with them on Christmas Eve, it seems likely we picked it up in the same place. So nothing will be done today apart from basics. Tomorrow evening there is a big fireworks display here in Howth, part of a NYE festival being organised by Dublin tourism. There is lots of preparation happening on the pier and down along the harbour, hopefully we will be able to see it from our terrace. We’re currently watching a performance of The Nutcracker by the New York City Ballet - Edward recently saw a programme about preparing for the ballet in London, and was interested to see the ballet itself. No doubt darts will be watched later and of course ManU are playing later.

I gave up operation putting the sheets out and did myself 8-)

Operation make the bed didn't go well either. What part about tucking in the bottom sheet does he not understand?????

Then the internet went off, so had to ring Steve, who very kindly came up. He looks dreadful. It's the first time I've seen him for almost two weeks. He's grey, still in pain with his collar bone and his eyes have sunk back into the sockets. But seemed cheerful enough - well, for him 8-)

But he sorted it :Hi: Grumpy, when he was moving shutters and stuff around had managed to disconnect it :x
