A different Christmas...

Postby Ally » 24 Dec 2024, 12:11

...and a different country to the one that was planned.

I'm still in the UK.

Very late Saturday night Lucia's grandmother took ill and she, sister Elena and their parents dashed to Granada to be with her. She's in her 90s and up till now still been quite independent.

Sunday Craig's g/f S got the news from her twin sister that their mum was quite poorly.
Cue S driving down to Devon and her sister driving down from London to be with their mum and dad.

I didn't want Craig being on his own Christmas Day, Conor didn't want Don being on his own so the upshot is Don & Conor are together in Spain and me & Craig are here in Nottingham!

I sacked yesterday morning's flight off and have booked one to go home Boxing Day.

I sometimes think my life is totally bonkers!

I'll find out later today how Carmen is and I believe S's mum is a bit better too.

Don and I had booked our usual two nights in Nerja but luckily we're very friendly with the lovely owners and have changed our booking for the New Year.

Craig and myself have already been out this morning for goodies for tomorrow.

Out tonight for drinks and we'll pick up an Indian takeaway. :x

Not what was planned at all but Don and I are ok about what's happened and as long as the poorly ladies are getting better that's all that matters. xx

Different but it sounds like you and Craig will have a lovely day together :D
