Good mrning everybody.

It was only 13C when I got up. It is dry and the sun is trying to come out.
Going totown to get some glazed ham which I will have for my dinner with roast potatoes.

Will then have a lazy day. Do a bit of cleaning and tidying up.

Morning Cruiser, morning everyone

Foggy and cold.

Safe travels to Ally x

Off into Ourique this morning, to have the last of the stitches out. Also hope there will be a doctor there this morning, to have a look at this lump.

Taking Jacqui in with us, as she still can't drive and needs some stuff from Aldi and Pingo.

Back for breakfast, lazy day and meeting friends down at the bar.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Dry and windy.

Thought I'd better get in here before the invasion. Zoe and co are due by 11ish. We haven't seen them since the summer so really looking forward to it. Both Zachery and Elijah towered over me then, Noah was the only one smaller than me, but apparently he's now almost as tall as Zoe!!

Hope you all have a good day xx Image

Hello and good morning all

Cruiser, enjoy that lazy day - I'm a tad jealous; I could do with one myself
Jan, good luck with your appointment; and sorry if I missed it (and I have missed loads), but what happened with Jacqui? Enjoy the breakfast and then the meet up at the bar
Saundra, hope the sneezing has stopped now. Enjoy your day
Jen, have just the most amazing time with the family; always so special
Safe travels home to Ally x
Kaz, enjoy your meet up and then the cooking later. Can't say the same for the dusting and cleaning though.

A busy day for me today. Vet appointment for two cats this morning and to drop off my Christmas gift to the staff there, then back to tidy the kitchen (well I should be, but instead am on the computer :-) ). I need to have a look through the fridge to see what I have / what might be missing ahead of Christmas dinner tomorrow and then off to Sainsbury's to get the final bits; and hope and pray it's not total shambles :o   but not holding my breath. Then meeting up with a newphew (well Nadine's nephew, but he's family to us all); he's home alone at the moment and bored so had asked for some company. And at some point I want to do some baking; but I may leave that to after Christmas because we'll just have sooooooo much food otherwise.

Have a lovely day all xxx

No doctor this morning, so I have to go in this afternoon. Nurse very happy with the scar, very clean and tidy, she said :D

Steve coming home this afternoon. He's getting the train and Tina will pick him up. We were going to, but I'll be at the centro de saude at the time his train gets here. He had a TIA, as well as his sugar rush, hence them keeping him in for a few days.

She had a fall herself a couople of months ago and had a new hip, so not allowed to drive yet.

Morning all, it’s dull and dry and not as breezy as yesterday.

I was out and walking to town by 8, got some batteries and a disposable foil tray for the turkey from Home Bargains. Now I’m waiting for the Tesco delivery, it’s one stop away according to the tracker. Pleased to see no out of stocks and no substitutions when I looked at the emailed receipt  There’s also an Amazon delivery due and I’ve got an Ikea click and collect booked for tonight. I also need to drop off some presents at Ruth and Rob’s house so will do that on the way to Ikea.

Joe’s home today, he finished work on Friday. He's already asked what’s for lunch  Jade’s over later and after dinner they’re off to Trentham Gardens at Stoke for the Christmas lights event.

Right, better get some bags ready by the front door to put the Tesco order into.

Have a good day :)

Afternoon all, it’s mostly dull but not too cold. I was up and out early for my doc appointment at 10.15. This was my Preventive Practice review following the bloods done last week. Everything is totally fine, blood pressure very normal, cholesterol down to 4.3, all bloods perfect. I talked to her about a small issue with peeing and she asked me to give a sample. The system is to get the cup from reception then go off and do it, so it doesn’t delay the doc. Well, I couldn’t go!! So I had to sit and drink two lots of water, meanwhile great banter between myself, the receptionist and another older lady in the waiting room. I finally managed to do the necessary :D

Since getting home, I’ve left my prescription order to the chemist and later on, I’m getting my nails done and eyebrows tinted. Edward has a nice piece of ham in the slow cooker and it’ll be a relaxing evening. As we are not hosting anyone on Christmas Day we can take things easy.

Jo, Tesco leave us the boxes and we give them back at the next delivery.

Saw Dr Paulo, he said it was just a haematoma, nothing to worry about. Massage it twice a day and put ice on it

Pit stop at the bar - blasted cold - on the way back and Steve is spending another night in hospital. They just want to make double sure he's okay to be let loose.
