Morning everyone

Sun is out but it's cold.

Off to the centro de saude this morning, to have some of the staples out. Also want them to advise about a lump that has appeared to one side. Not too happy.

Will get a few bits and bobs in Aldi, pit stop for coffee, back for breakfast and a lazy day.

Picking a friend up this evening and we're off for a Christmas drinks and nibbles evening.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone :)

So sorry to be completely AWOL yesterday, but I had an impromptu visit to London :) Emma needed to go and collect her daughter C after she finished work and bring her back to Gloucester for Christmas. C is an assistant buyer for Next but works a lot from home, so we went to her flat near Clapham Common to pick her up. Emma hadn’t done the drive there on her own before, so asked me to go with her. C’s partner J goes “home” to his family in Devon for Christmas, but he’s working today - he’s a presenter on a football programme on Sky Sports - so he’s not going until tomorrow.

Before setting off home we went to the recently redeveloped Battersea Power Station shopping and leisure centre - wow, it’s been done beautifully! There was also a Christmas market, so we had a wonderful afternoon, then something to eat, and we finally got home at around 11pm last night

Today will be quieter - brunch out in the Quays, then round to D’s. Phil and Marina are coming up for the day to D’s so it will be nice to see them later :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning.
Apologies for the radio silence, things have been a bit full on.
Kaz, I think it's rather wonderful that Battersea power station was able to be repurposed.
Jan, good luck at the centro de saude.
Enjoy the meet up Ally!

Hopefully we won't have to go to Sainsbury's again before Christmas! It was rammed yesterday. Where are all these people the rest of the year, do they just come out at Christmas? Do they hang upside down in the attic for 51 weeks of the year?
Anyhow, we will pop up and see the new arrival soon and then this afternoon I'll go to Ponte to get MrsC's present.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, we have been VERY lazy this morning, didn’t get up until after 9.30 and I’m still in my dressing gown  We had great fun last night at the Christmas social, lots of dancing, my legs feel it this morning. You remember the trousers I was going to try on yesterday? Well I didn’t like them but ended up buying a skirt instead - the front of it is pleather and the back is jersey, it fits really neatly. When I was paying, I said to the woman wrapping it “am I too old for this” - she said “oh no, but if it was a pair of leather trousers I would have a different opinion!” I’ll see if I can find a pic and pop it on the Boutique board.

Today I’ll wrap the presents, although I don’t do much wrapping, I mostly put them in gift bags. I also need to print off a couple of vouchers. Edward is currently making a batch of mince pies :D

Morning all :)

Wet

Ally enjoy the drinks and dinner.
Jan hope the lump isn't too serious, could it be a build up of fluid. I had that and it had to be aspirated after my hernia op, quick and easy xx
Kaz Battersea Power Station develpment sounds lovely, must try to go and take a look someday.

Crommers that made me giggle
Osc I'm all for lazy mornings, especially in this weather lol
Cruise gosh you were busy this morning.

Update on my medical trial on the Health Board.

Had a phone call last night from my cousin Ann who lives on the Isle of Man. Didn't know who it was at first, we do keep in touch with Christmas cards, but I haven't actually spoken to her for about 10 years. Her husband was admitted to hospital last Saturday and died on Wednesday. She was a bit vague about what was wrong, said he had cancer but didn't know what it was. Debbie and Jane my nieces (who I've kept in touch with more regularly) were due to arrive, she said they will have to sort it all. It was all a bit strange, I did wonder if she has dementia.

Hannah messaged to say she'll be here this evening. The girls have a Christmas party this afternoon, they'll come after that. Suits us well, no rushing around today, pretty much everything's done. Feeling very smug, bet that changes once they're here and chaos reign

Hope you all have a good day xx Image

Afternoon all, better late than never

Up early to empty the dishwasher and make sausage sandwiches for breakfast for John, Tom, Joe and Jade. John and the lads have gone to South Wales for his brother in law’s retirement party, John said last night that he wanted to be on the road by 9 but it was 9.55 before they eventually left. I can’t really spare two days away just before Christmas. I’ve walked into town this afternoon, I think I must live in a parallel universe to some of you because it was deserted. Not that there’s much to make people want to shop there. I got the cheese which Joe likes from Aldi, it was out of stock in Stafford yesterday. I hand delivered some cards on the way back and also went to the cemetery to check on my Nan and Grandad’s grave. I didn’t know if anyone would’ve put anything on for Christmas but there were a couple of holly wreaths and a bunch of Christmas foliage. There’s no room for anything else as the wreaths have to be tied to the headstone to stop them blowing away and the foliage was in the vase.
I managed to clock up over 5 miles and got home just before the rain started.

Have a good rest of the day all :D
