Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 18 Dec 2024, 08:09

Good morning.

Going for a walk this morning in one of the lovely parks here. ;)

Out tonight with Craig and a bunch of his friends.
Meeting in a German bar for a beer or three then we're all going for a pizza.
Really looking forward to it as they're such a nice bunch of people. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Clouds, sun and 21C, apparently. Wet out there at the moment.

Another day of doing not a lot. Took a shepherds pie out of the freezer for dinner and that's my lot

Steve is coming up sometime today, to try and sort out English tv - again

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Have a great time Ally :D xx

Fingers crossed for the telly, Jan  xx

It’s another dark, windy day here - awful weather :? Meeting my friend J in town, picking up an order from M&S, then getting my hair done at 12.15. A busy day, could do without it really as I slept really badly last night :o

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s brightish out there, looks damp though. Today we have to build a gingerbread house for Michael and Kellie to decorate tomorrow - it’s great that Michael still wants to do it, he asked us about it weeks ago. I’m meeting the girls from my former gym class at 12.30 for a cuppa in a local cafe. I also need to take out some money and I’m sure I’ll find other stuff to do as well.

Morning all :)

Another damp grey day

Ally have fun with Craig and friends.
Jan hope Steve can fix the tv.
Kaz horrid to have a bad night, take it easy today.
Osc enjoy decorating the gingerbread house with Michael and Kellie.

We're popping out to the small Tesco in the next hour or so. We don't need much, mainly bananas and fresh veg. Hoping it will be a lot less hectic than the big one.

Hope you all have a good day Image

Hello all and good morning

Ally, enjoy the dinner out with Craig and his friends and enjoy that German beer ;-)
Jan, not doing a lot is exactly what you should be doing. Fingers crossed Steve can sort the TV for you
Kaz, same weather here; it really is grim. Hopefully the day turns out great fun and then have a relaxed evening and an early night. Could you have an afternoon snooze on the sofa?
Jen, good luck with the Tesco shop; hope it's not too busy for you
Osc, I think it's lovely that Michael still wants to do that gingerbread house; what a lovely family tradition to have and I really hope it's something that continues for many years to come.

An unexpected home day for me. I was meant to head to Brighton today to take a friend out for lunch for her birthday, but she messaged yesterday to say she's tested Covid positive. Admittedly I'd usually not worry too much as we could have just stayed in at hers and I'd be in my car, but I have quite a busy Christmas period so don't want to risk getting ill (not that I've ever been ill from Covid, but let's not tempt fate! ;-) ) So here I am at home and (dare I say), given the weather, very glad to not have to be on the road.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody,

I know I am late on parade. Only 15C. There has been some rain and there are stilll grey clouds.
Went to the surgery to pick up a form. The nurse wants me to have another urine sample test, I have to give it first thing in the morning when I get up. So that will be tomorrow.
THen I went to have my hair cut. I was first one in when the shop opened at 9.00 a.m. I tried everal barbers before finding this one after the one i had used for several years had closed.

Then took a Christmas card to a friend who lives near the barbers and stayed chatting. So this afternoon it will just be pootling. I can always find something to do.

Have a good day everybody.

Oh well, we'll be without tv for a longer time that we thought.

Had a phone call from George, to say that Steve had fallen over and is on his way to hospital, so can't go with Grumpy on Friday.

Rang Darren, to ask him to change the booking, for the third time  :D

Met him down at the bar and then heard more.

He has stopped smoking and drinking - for the last three weeks or so - and is compensating by eating sweets and drinking lucazade, as he's having a horrendous cough.

But by eating three bags of sweets, then drinking four bottles of lucazade, meant his sugar level went sky high and he collapsed. Daft sod.

Popped into see Jacqui on our way home, He's cracked his collar bone and also needs to be assessed, re his sugar levels.

So Christmas lunch is cancelled, as George and I both agree, he needs time to heal.

And also heard that Chris is really not doing so well. Sounds as if secondary cancers have been found.

So all in all, I'm a sad person now.

Oh, and the cat is on the missing list too :x
