Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 16 Dec 2024, 08:11

Good morning.

Had the smoothest journey over yesterday and it was so lovely to see Craig waiting in arrivals for me. :D

Going into town this morning. First stop will be M&S to begin my shopping haul.

Craig's local tonight for a pint or two and fish and chips takeaway on the way home. 8-)

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but cold.

Ooohhhhh, fish and chips from the chippy, enjoy xx

Washing machine on, Grumpy will be pegging it out later and the next lot

Something is trying to muscle Molly out of here. Another scrap not long after I'd let her out this morning  Don't think I've moved so quickly for ages  Shot out of bed, but by the time I'd opened the door, whatever it was, was long gone. She jumped up onto the window ledge so quickly, she almost bounced off it again

An easy day today, read, eat, read, eat 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s not a bad morning here and just under 10 degrees outside. Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll be going to mobility class soon. Kellie will be here this afternoon as Miss Osc and SIL are having lunch out in town and doing Christmas shopping. I’ll put on a wash before I go out, I’m still finding my way through the programmes on the new machine. Might do the bit of ironing that is there at some stage. We had planned to have lunch out next Sunday, then go to a particular dance that we thought would be on 4-7 but it turns out it doesn’t start until 8.30pm - as it is over an hour’s drive away, we won’t be going. We were looking forward to it, but we’ll get over it!

Cruiser, if your eyesight wasn’t perfect, you wouldn’t see that dust - I never see it here

Hello all and good morning - happy Monday

Glad you had a good journey over Ally, enjoy the time with Craig x
Jan, any chance next door decided to get a cat? Or maybe another cat from the Bar that has found it's way up to yours? Just take it easy and don't shoot out of bed too quickly x
Cruiser, enjoy your day pootling

same here Osc!   As for the programmes on the washing machine, I love my new machine, but realise that my next one will be a very simple one that I can set the temp / spin speed myself; and not rely on something where everything is pre-programmed. The daily wash cycle on my machine now runs for an hour, but won't do a 60 degree wash; the only way to wash anything at 60 is a nearly 2 hour cycle; huge energy use! And I like to have a shorter hot wash for towels and bedding, so get really frustrated.

A lazy morning pootling and tidying. About to do a few admin'y bits on the computer and then this evening heading into London to meet up with some ex-work colleagues. It'll be lovely to see them, but I'm not looking forward to the commute in; the trains have been dire these past few weeks.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :)

Nice and bright here.

We've had a nice lie in, only just had brekkie. Popping out to City Electrics on the industrial estate later, two spotlights went yesterday and now one of the lights in the lounge has gone. Ed thought we had a few spares in the cupboard, but no, so we really need to stock up just in case. There's always something we forget

Hope you all have a good day xx

Not a chance of next door getting a cat, not with six dogs

Might be another stray. I noticed one down by the wooden hut, by the bins, the other day. But it's only a kitten :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, fish and chips and M&S sounds pretty good to me :D xx

Glad you've got got Grumpy trained, Jan  ;) xx

Cruiser, I often ask myself the same question  xx

Ah, that's a shame Osc xx

:D Saundra :D xx

Ria, my previous machine was the same but my current (much more basic) model has adjustable temperature for any programme which is much better! I hope your evening is fun and the trains not too manic :) xx

Hope you managed to stock up Jen xx

Town with Em this morning, lovely to catch up and hear all about last week's trip to New York :) My new chairs came early on, which is good, and I did a wash load before going out. Bought the very last Christmases present - a Milky Bar selection box for young Jack to go in his Christmas stocking from us. I've also got him a toy and a cute outfit with dinosaurs on :D

Love to all xxx
