Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 06 Dec 2024, 08:44

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 23°. 8-)

I'll go for my walk shortly. :D

It's a national holiday today so lots going on in town including parades and the making of an enormous paella in the plaza. :D

We've booked a table at Gambrinus for lunch. :D

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy start again, but the sun will be out later and although it won't be that warm, it will be warm enough to sit out in later.

Cleaning for me this morning and a deep clean will be done, as I won't be here next week and the week later, I probably won't fancy doing any

Off to see Darren too, this morning, as he's going to book our train tickets. Up Tuesday and back down on Friday, all being well.

I swapped the sprouts for a cauli yesterday, so we'll have broccoli and cauliflower with something for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull here and the sky was a weird orangey colour earlier, I suspect it’s the calm before the storm as we have an orange weather warning this evening through the night. Mobility class this morning, then this afternoon I will be bringing Kellie to her gymnastics class and waiting to bring her home, so she will come here after school. We’ve decided not to go out tonight and will be watching the great Irish tradition, the Late Late Toy Show.

Morning all!

It’s sunny and breezy so I’ve got a load of washing on the line to dry a bit before the start of the storm hits this afternoon.

I’m home alone for much of today. Joe stayed at Jade’s last night and has needed to head into the office rather than work from here and then go back to her house this evening, he’ll be back tomorrow morning. John will be back briefly after worked to get showered and changed, it’s his company Christmas party tonight at a golf club over in Sutton Coldfield. He thankfully declined my invitation before he even asked me, I’ve been to so many of these party nights over the years and they’re painful! It seems I’m not the only one who’s declined though, even the admin lady and the receptionist (both of whom I’ve known for years and years and like catching up with) have decided not to go and they’re the ones who’ve organised it all

The Tesco delivery is due soon, didn’t need much this week. Might go for a walk after that as long as it stays dry.

Osc, I’ve heard of that many times. Must find out what it’s all about!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :)

Nice and sunny, but cold

Haven't seen Cruiser for over a week now, hope he's okay.

Usual wash day here. I need a few bits so we'll also pop over to the small Tesco before lunch.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone.
We have been to do the big shop and ordered a chicken for Christmas.
mrsC has gone to Jims with his shopping. He had a fire in his kitchen the other week; he left a tea towel on top of the electric hob.
He's also been going for a wander. He told a neighbour that he was off to the job centre. That could have been a joke; I hope so.
The car has started doing an odd beeping noise when I reverse; not the reversing sensors so I don't know what it might be. I've never heard it before today.
Must get a lottery ticket and some money from the atm.
Have a nice day all.

Evening everyone :)

Ally, I hope you’re enjoying the fun :) xx

Jan, good idea to “get done” before next week :) xx

Hope you enjoy the show Osc :) xx

Jo that’s funny, that even the organisers don’t want to go   xx

Jen, I will contact him xx

Oh dear Crommers, that’s not good :o xx

I’ve been out all day again - first to my SW meeting, then to the Quays with Emma to meet an old friend who moved away from Gloucester but was back for a few days. Em and I then did some Christmas shopping there, and then into town to pick up some toiletries as she and her family are off to NYC on Sunday for a few days. Got home to discover my lovely husband had assembled the new dining table and chairs, and put the Christmas tree up in the new conservatory :D :Hi: :D It looks fabulous, I am so pleased with it!!!!!

Big storm coming in tonight, stay safe everyone (((((x)))))

Sat outside, enjoying a good book and a glass of wine, in the sun.

Phone rings.

IPO want Grumpy up there on 20th December to have a meeting with the surgeon who did his face.

Hopefully it-s just a check/up, although he had a check up date in February.

More trains

MEO now gone and my internet is super whizzy :Hi:

Just not tv, until we sort it out
