Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 30 Nov 2024, 08:21

Good morning.

Sunny and 23° forecast. 8-)

I'm taking it easy today as I had the most horrendous reaction yesterday from Thursday's jab.

It kicked in about an hour after my walk and I spent the day being violently sick, shivering and feeling just awful.

Was in bed by 9pm and slept right through till 8am.
I feel much better but definitely relaxing today.

SCD tonight.

Have a great day.

Safe travels home today Kaz. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sun and clouds, with an unprecedented 26C today

Sorry you felt so rough yesterday Ally, hope you feel much better today x

Grumpy has a cold  Not surprising, really, with all the people we were crammed in with on the rains, so that means I-ll get it too

Ironing for me this morning and meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon. I have made the curry for tonight and I have some samosas left over from the last coffee morning.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, it’s quite bright here and not too cold. This morning we have cleaned out the kitchen drawer (we know how to live ;) ) and got rid of a lot of rubbish stuff that had accumulated. I would remark that chief source of the rubbish is the other person who lives in this house, who is prone to chucking stuff in in case it might be useful, and when using various implements, tends not to put them back in the right place. So the drawer has had a good clear out, quite a bit of stuff thrown in the bin, other things that “might” be useful in the future have been put in a bag and put away in the far corner of a cupboard. The cutlery tray and other trays have been washed and dried, the whole drawer looks lovely and tidy. Now he is working on all the other kitchen cupboards! No plan for the rest of the day, no doubt Edward will find sport to watch, and I will be reading/knitting/jigsawing - Strictly tonight.

Morning all :D

Dry, but chilly.

Ally that sounds horrid, glad you're feeling better today.
Jan sorry to hear Grumpy has a cold, hope you manage to avoid it.
Osc we'll be watching Strictly too, followed by Celebrity Get me Out of Here.

We were up at silly o'clock to do the M&S trolley dash. Quite a few people already shopping when we got there, but well stocked and easy enough to get round. I dread to think what it's like now. We also popped into the garden centre on our way home, the garland lights have given up the ghost so we needed a new set.

No other plans for today, intend to stay inside in the warm and be extremely lazy

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny and a bit milder today.

We started the day with breakfast at Wetherspoons and then came home to sort out the Christmas tree in the main living room. I was then hit by a big dose of CBA and rather than put on the usual 100 or so baubles I used the 12 oversized ones that I’d bought to hang on cherry tree in the side garden. I’ve never liked this Christmas tree because its branches are too bushy and it’s hard to hang anything on it so it takes hours to decorate, if it stays up until Christmas it’ll be a miracle.
Love the one downstairs though, that can stay.

Tom’s coming over in a bit, he needs tree decorations and I’d said he could have what I didn’t use…so he’s now got loads to choose from
He’s having dinner and is staying tonight.
Joe’s out Christmas shopping with Jade, he’ll be back bright and early in the morning because we’ve for a 1.30pm kick off and a protest beforehand so we need to be gone by 10.30.

Have a good day all :)
