We left Funcheira and we were on the fast train, so got to Porto in just over four hours, having traveled at speeds of up 220kms

Only had to wait a short time, to get the train to Braga, which was rammed

That was another hour. Taxi to the hotel, which is the only one in town, so no choice, really.
Ate there that night and had a really lovely - if expensive

Walk around the town the next morning, the hospital was only a five minute walk from the hotel, so easily found. We also found a Chinese and Indian restaurant

Got to the hospital and the worlds worst receptionist wouldn't let me see any-one, as I didn't have any paperwork, to back up my appointment. And she kept on saying she couldn't understand me, when everyone else seemed to. Luckily, another receptionist stepped in and I explained all over again. She took me to the waiting area and then said I should see Ana, who had arranged everything, afterwards.
Saw the surgeon, he had a good prod around and said it should be done sooner, rather than later, so 11 December okay with you? Berlimey

Off up to see Ana, who passed me onto a colleague, who would take me down to get bloods done and also x-ray and ecg.
All done and dusted within an hour and a half.
Just need written confirmation, times etc, before I book trains and hotel.
One thing we won't be doing is taking three trains on the way back, so will by-pass Braga and get a taxi straight to Porto and get the fast train back, rather than having to change at Lisbon, as we had to do yesterday.
Met some lovely people though, a couple from Boston on their honeymoon, a lovely rather gay Portuguese lad.
All in all, a pleasant journey
