Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 25 Nov 2024, 05:32

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and 22°. 8-)

Picking David up at 9am.
He's having a procedure done at el clinico in Malaga and as there's some anaesthetic involved he needs someone responsible to ensure his safe return home.
Don't think I've been called responsible before.

He's been told it'll take a couple of hours so rather than drive home then back again I'm packing snacks and my Kindle and I'll just wait for him at the hospital. :D

Once I've got him settled at home I'll drop the car off then meet Don in town for lunch. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Rather dull at the moment, but picking up for sun and 19C later. At least the wind has dropped and we had some rain at 5.00 this morning.

Best of luck to David this morning Ally x

Bits and bobs this morning, packing everything - not that we need much - but best to get it out of the way this morning.

Off to lunch with a load of us for a friend's birthday bash. No doubt back to the bar later. I'll be drowning in water

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anybody elsewho is up.

Only 14C when I got up so the CH is on.

There is some blue sky but clouds are coming so we may have rain.
Am going to the dentist this morning. It is for the six month check. He will also finish the filling which he did when I lost a filling a couple of months ago.
He will now put a permanentone in. Going to cost but it will be worth it.

Bacl home just another day pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s sunny but chilly here, 6 degrees outside. The plumber has been on to Edward, he has ordered the part for the boiler but also wants to check something else with the manufacturers and make sure it is not that that is causing the problem we’ve been having for a while. We also have an issue with the alarm, something to do with the box on the wall outside, so Edward has left a message on the phone of the guy who installed, he only lives up the road so might pop in on his way home this evening. Last night, our power went out  just us, nowhere else on the street. Edward fiddled around with the fuse box and it came back after a few minutes, no idea what that was about! Mobility class this morning, then I need to tackle the pile of ironing that awaits my attention. I’ve ordered a few things online for C-word presents and one is arriving today.

Afternoon all, it’s sunny although there was a quick downpour a short while ago.

Jen, the same is happening here today in readiness for Christmas trees. This morning I’ve dragged the carpet cleaner out of the cupboard and shampooed the carpets on all three floors and the two flights of stairs. Three loads of washing have been done too. I need to see what Christmas lights I’ve got before I think about doing the trees though.

Had a top day out yesterday with Joe, we met up with Ryan and his Dad (they live in Stafford and sometimes travel up to matches with us, Ryan and Joe met when Joe worked at GE) and they had another two fellas with them. We met them in a pub which was a ‘home’ pub and they’d been in a while when we got there at 1. We asked for directions to the away pub but the Ipswich supporters said it wasn’t a problem if we all stayed there.
Long story short, we were in there until 4, half an hour before kick off, and ended up being asked for a big group photo by some of the home fans

Have a good day all :)
