Good Morning Sunday

Postby Weka » 23 Nov 2024, 23:16

Hope everyone is ok after your storm.

I wish summer would hurry up and get here.

I’m off for a long walk soon and procrastinating hard about going. I need to do 15-20km today with a pack on as I’m doing the MT Ruapehu walk in 2 weeks and I desperately need more fitness for it.

Morning everyone

Rather grey but mild. Raid forecast for tonight.

Lovely to see you Weka, you'll do that, no problem :Hi:

I finally got to sleep at 4.30 and woke up at 8.20

Washing being done this morning, as we have a busy day tomorrow. I'll start the packing, not that we're taking much, but need to make sure we have all medications and maps ;)

General pootling today, no outside stuff, that will just have to wait.

Hope none of you were/are affected by the storm, snow and other nasty stuff.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Oh Weka, that would be me a while back, a long while back, now aged 72, so maybe not.

Get a backpack solar panel for night light and to keep your phone charged and you'll be fine. Mine does the job even in our dull Yorkshire days, and we have many.

Morning all, from somewhere on the M6.

It’s raining.
I’ve been quiet all week, me and John had had colds which have wiped us out. The cold symptoms weren’t so bad but the tiredness was awful.

Anyway, I’m over it now so currently in the car with Joe for an away day trip to Ipswich. Kick off isn’t until 4.30pm so it’ll be a long day, we’re meeting friends in a pub beforehand though.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s bright and sunny here, cool enough though and of course we have no heating. Lots of layers on, and later on we’ll put on the gas fire. We have a convection heater that Edward is moving around the house to keep the temperature up. No plan for the day, I’ll ignore the ironing until tomorrow ;) I have a book I might finish. Fingers crossed the plumber can get the new panel for the boiler soon!

Morning all :D

Warmer, but still very windy

Weka lovely to see you, good luck with the walk.
Jo sorry to hear you've been poorly, glad you're feeling better now.
Osc hope the plumber can sort the boiler soon, not the best time to be without it.

Nothing planned for today, if the wind calms down we really need to get out in the garden for a good tidy up, we'll see. Roast chicken with veg for dinner, raspberry blancmange with blackcurrant jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

My poor washing machine

As it's been such a blowy, but warm day, I've washed the bedding, added the mattress cover, washed two throws and now just finishing off two jackets

Everything dried within an hour

I've also cleaned the oven  :o

And written some Christmas cards, as I really don't know what's going to happen after next Wednesday.

Afternoon all :)

It's been blowing an absolute hooley here! Rain lashing down too. We popped to see D, as after tomorrow lunchtime won't see her again until next weekend. I've cooked lamb shoulder, roasties and minty peas, followed by apple crumble for a late lunch/early dinner, done some packing and cleaning, and am watching a bit of telly now before ringing my boys.

Weka, good luck with the training :D xx

Good luck with the boiler Osc xx

Glad you're feeling better Jo xx

Love to everyone xxx
