Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy and damp here. We didn’t get up until almost 9.30 which is late for us. Breakfast over and I’m ready to get on with the day. Mainly I’ll be packing for going away tomorrow, the usual thing about going in the car, “sure I’ll take this - and this - and throw in this”, it’s wonderful not to have weight restrictions! We plan to have a late lunch/early dinner in a local restaurant as we have a voucher to use. Strictly tonight, while I give myself a pedicure.

Morning all :D

Started off lovely and sunny, grey again now

We were up at silly o'clock for our usual M&S dash. Weather permitting, the plan today is to get our new outside lights up. We had to do it in October last year so I could help before going into hospital. Only a couple of weeks early this year

Strictly tonight :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s sunny at the moment but rain is forecast.

No plans today apart from reading through some of the legal stuff re John’s Mom’s house sale, it’s all to do with the trust which was set up between her, John and his sister. The sale itself is proceeding well, the buyers are first timers so there’s no chain on either side and they’d ideally like to move in by Christmas, but the trust thing is a pain.
When T first contacted them in May they said to call again when there was an offer so they could set up a meeting to dissolve the trust. She did that in Sept when they accepted the offer and they asked to see the original will so she had to apply for that. Once that had arrived they then wanted all of their ID which I posted about the other week. She called again this week to ask to arrange a meeting which is done via Zoom and costs £480 and was told that the earliest available date is January 16th. She explained all that was happening and was told that they can have an emergency meeting on December 2nd, although that’ll cost an extra £350 but they’ve had no choice but to go with that.

Jen, how fast has this last year gone - I remember you doing your lights early!

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Just had a read through, glad you're all ok :)

Well we had an unexpected treat last night, our friends R and R had tickets for the Vivaldi candlelit concert at the Cathedral but were unable to go - could we use them? So we trotted off at 7pm, parked up in the Quays and took the short walk up to the Cathedral. Gosh, it was absolutely beautiful! The seats were in the Nave, it was all lit up with candles, and surprisingly warm. The music was magical, enhanced no doubt by the amazing acoustics in such a venue. They started off with Vaughn Williams' Lark Ascending, and a short Mozart piece, from The Marriage of Figaro. Then there was a short interval before the main event, The Four Seasons. A fabulous evening, and we had very good seats, near the front 8-) :D

Back to earth today - breakfast out, then round to D's :)

Love to all :) xx
