From which you might gather that Ossie had his annual diabetic review at 11:50 today, and at 11:51, the annual diet was declated over.

It was out of the surgery and straight into Lidl for treats.
Fact of the day: Did you know that Lidl don't sell black pudding?
I might be writing to my MP .....

So Silesian Sausages it was (amongst many other "treats") .....

Thy ha' to be up North to get black pudding in Lidl, my local has it. It's on the deli section next to all those meats from the continent. I get loads of those - Bavarian ham, prosciutto, salamis, pastrami, Toulouse sausage, bockwurst - all the real deal. Much better than the Brit supermarket versions.

BTW, well done on the diet. Mine's not going too well.

Yes, I "raided" the continental meats section for some frankfurtery things, WM, but the Silesian Sausages were in with the other deli stuff.

Seemed to go OK, thank you Kaz; I'd managed to get my weight down below 12st 12 on the home scales, a record low for me. Of course being weighed at the surgery in my togs, they recorded just over 13st, but that's no biggie.
Now I have to wait a month for a booked telephone call to get the blood and urine sample results. Cross that bridge when we get there .....
