Honey, I shrunk the Bacon ....

Having just recorded 8 successive days under 13st at the morning weigh-in, Mrs O allowed me the luxury of a "Light" Breakfast at the local garden centre.

£25.50 for an Eggs Royale for her, the brekkie for me, and two regular Americanos, which I think is a small increase in price since our last visit. :cute:

But my goodness, the "one rasher of bacon". I kid you not, it was about the same size as an old-fashioned crown (slightly bigger than the old 2/6d coin).
The "one mushroom" included, which was a small variety of flat-cap, was almost similar in diameter. :? And only half a tomato. A pretty rough half at that! :|

I know we have shrink-flation and all that, but really, some of these eat-outeries really are taking the proverbial ..... :P
They weren't doing a lot of business. I'm not surprised.

Well done Ossie!

That's a good steady weight loss since July 1.
(Looked back on your Ossie's annual diet on the HB)

:Hi:

Well done Ossie :)

That’s very tight, on the light breakfast! They have no excuses as mushrooms, tomatoes and even beans are not fattening! :cute:

Saundra, yes, there was baked beans, plus one slice of toast and a butter pat, a single hash brown ("Not suitable for vegetarians as we've only got one fat fryer, and we use that for our fish as well" ), and some watercress.
I think they think because they serve watercress, it sort of looks more on your plate. Anyway ....

Ally, Kaz thank you! 8-) According to the menu list it was 731 calories, so it certainly was a treat. I've been down to one main meal a day, usually vegetarian-based like cauliflower with a cheese topping, and otherwise topping up on those Skinny Bars you see in the supermarkets, around 70-80 calories each, chicken noodle cuppa-soups (around 60 cals) and enough cupsa tea to re-fill Lake Windmere after a drought.... So well under 1,000 cals a day, which is of course very low for a bloke.

And pickled gherkins. Don't forget the pickled gherkins! I'm getting through two jars a week ....

Well done on the weight loss Ossie. I've lost nothing in the last 3 weeks. Haven't put anything on either but it can be frustrating.

Places like that get a large Avoid red X on my radar.

The cafe I go to in Wigan serves a full English breakfast. It is on a very large dinner plate.
I have never had one but they seem popular.

No small portions here, we are all growing lads .

Yes if you keep eating them you will grow lots. I know, I have the T shirt for that one.
