Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 29 Aug 2024, 05:36

Good morning.

This heat is never ending.

I've spent the past two days with David.
Visiting his mum in hospital, then backwards and forwards from there to their house to make some meals for John (Sue's 80 year old husband) and generally doing my best to look after them.

Jacob's asked myself and Don over to his and to take us out for breakfast this morning which will be nice.
We'll do some food shopping on the way home.

I think a cold beer at Gambrinus tonight will go down very well.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.
Still only 18C with lots of clouds but no rain.

Am going to Leigh today as there is a good market there. The council have not yet got round to "modernising" it.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Cool and cloudy this morning, but 32C is forecast for later.

Been a busy morning already  All the watering done, plants put back where the rabbits have been digging them up and eating them   , washing out, donkey has had his morning treat, apple this morning and I've just had a chat with a friend who's brother has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. As she's not in the country and he is here, she's trying to get over sooner rather than later.

Off out to lunch with Steve and Jacquie, for their wedding anniversary. So that will be a long lunch

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you three and everyone
Ally, how is David holding up? They must be so glad to have you - do Sue and John live far from where you are / where David lives?
Cruiser, enjoy the market; it sounds lovely
Jan, have a fab lunch and congrats to Steve and Jacquie on their anniversary. Hopefully your friend receives treatment asap and they manage to get him into remission.

Not sure what today has in store, it'll be the usual mix of work and pootle. Yesterday was really warm, but today they're expecting a maximum of 22 and a low of 8. The 22 is OK but that 8 is just too cold for this time of year

Have a lovely day, enjoy whatever it is you're doing x

Morning all :D

Hot and sunny 8-)

The Paralympics opening ceremony was brilliant last night, so much better than the Olympics. Of course it did help the weather was so nice, but watching the teams walk down the Champs elysees was exactly what it's all about. We missed all of that, using the Seine was a bad idea regardless of the rain. We'll be glued to the box for the next couple of weeks, really looking forward to it all.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, you’re a good friend - they must be very glad to have you ((((x))))

Hope you’re enjoying the market, Cruiser xx :D

Your lunch out sounds lovely Jan, happy anniversary to your friends xx

Ria, 8 is ridiculous :? xx

I hope they’re enjoying their holiday, Saundra xx

Enjoy the sport Jen :) xx

It’s a lovely sunny day here, low 20’s :) We’ve been to Tesco, took D along as her car’s in the Cheltenham Toyota garage getting its MOT and service. We all had a bite in the cafe there afterwards, they do a lovely cheese toastie ;) Got a busy afternoon of housework and ironing ahead - deep joy! :cute:

Love to all :) xx
