Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny, by there is a rather chilly wind  It will warm up later.

The water in the pool went down 3C from yesterday  as we left the cover off last night, the wind was just too strong.

The watering seemed to take forever this morning  I have to do most of it, because of the poorly knee, and it takes eight watering cans to do the bottom half of the garden. I'd normally use the hose pipe, but the wind was taking the water where I didn't want it to go

I'll get the vacuuming and mopping out of the way today, but that will be my lot.

Salad for dinner

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it was nice and sunny when we got up but has clouded over now. I need to pack a bag for tomorrow’s Wicklow trip, iron a few bits, go to the post office to take out some money. But first I’ll be watching the Olympic showjumping where Ireland has a good chance of a medal. It is in the wonderful setting of Versailles and we’re so glad we went there when we were in Paris in April. Tonight Kellie Harrington will end up with silver or gold in the boxing. Ireland is really having such a good Olympics.

Hello all and good morning

Enjoy the day Ally, and glad you had a great day in Matlock Bath yesterday
Crikey Jan, does sound rather windy for you today if you can't use the hosepipe - hope it settles soon
Cruiser, happy 'twitching' - hope you manage to see some lovely birds
Osc, your day sounds busy - hope you get it all done and enjoy the olympics

well wfh day for me - I thought I had a vet appointment this morning so frantically trying to find the cats that need to go; alas - appointment is tomorrow only; phew! Such a daft new rule, not sure imposed by who, but if you want to change the flea treatment you use for the pets, they have to be seen by a vet so they can authorise the new treatment. It's a free appointment thankfully, but such a waste of the vet time, esp when dealing with someone like me that a) has had cats for many many years and b) has the cats at the vet for regular examinations etc anyway. But hey ho - it's off to the vet we go.

This evening Karl, Nadine, Amelia and I will be attending a memorial service for their elderly neighbour who passed away beginning July. He was a member of a local brass band so they will all be attending as well and playing his favourite pieces; it definitely will be quite moving.

Have a lovely day all

Good morning.
It was sunny here but is now clouding up.
We will go for a little drive somewhere today which may result in coffee and a bun.
Wasn't the women's 800m good? So pleased for that girl.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine 8-)

Michelle's just texted to say she'll be here sometime between 1-2pm. I'm assuming that means she'll come here before checking in at Birchington Vale. No idea what that means foodwise. Think we'd better pop to the small Tesco as soon as we've had brekkie just in case. I don't think she's thought that as it's just the two of us we don't have anything in for the children. Think I'd better pick up a couple of boxes of Tesco's version of cornetto's. Oh and still don't know if Hannah's coming too :? They're here till Friday so I expect I'll be properly organised by the time they go home

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's a warm day here, a bit overcast. We've been out for breakfast, walked Fraggle round the docks, popped Sainsburys to change D's unused Canadian dollars back for her, then round to see her. I have ironing to do - it may or may not get done ;)

Ria that reminded me to make an appointment for Fraggle, for his annual jobs and MOT :) xx

Jen, enjoy the family time :) xx

Love to all xx

Afternoon all, it’s a sunny one after an overcast morning.

I went for another walk after I’d walked Bill, I’m making up for lost time - and steps - from the wet weather. I’ve got company this week as Joe has booked the week off.

Ria, we have to take Bill in now every 6 months for a prescription review due to a recent RVC directive. Unfortunately it’s not free, and usually costs around £200 as they do bloods too. Since this all started I’ve noticed how difficult it is to get an appointment and I’m sure it’s because the vet’s time is under added pressure due to these extra checks.

Have a good rest of the day all :)
