Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 27 Jul 2024, 05:06

Good morning.

Off to Scotland today. :P

Getting the 10.30 train and my cousin is going to meet me at Motherwell station and take me to the hotel.
I've booked three nights at the Premier Inn. :D

Once I dump my rucksack it's a quick change and I'm off to a party at the pub. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and another warm day 8-)

I have ironing - again - to do. We get through so many clothes this time of year and they all need ironing. Shame we can't wear woolies   Then I'm going to make a flan for dinner and after that, I'll head to the pool.

Meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon and we'll take a load of recycling down too.

Have fun in Scotland Ally :Hi: and safe travels.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Have a great time in Scotland, Al :D I like Premier Inn, much better than Travelodge IME ;) xx

Jan, I feel your pain, there's a lot less ironing in winter  xx

Sunny here, Cruiser - hope you get some sunshine xx

We were awake early, ready to FaceTime B, but she's been asked to work so we'll do it tomorrow instead :) It's a night bright day, so breakfast at Corretto's, then a walk round the dock basin is planned.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, mixed weather here but it’s warm. We’re having a lazy day today, not sure what I’ll do but I’m sure Edward will find sport to watch! We only saw the last 45 minutes or so of the Olympic ceremony last night, which seems to have been a blessing - but Celine Dion was amazing.

Another Premier Inn fan here - Ally, the one at St Enoch Square where we stayed last week was really excellent.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny 8-)

We like Premier Inn too, it's usually that or Holiday Inn Express for us, whichever is offering the best deal.

What did you all think about the Olympics Opening Ceremony? We were disappointed, obviously it didn't help that it tipped down, but it was clear spectators along the river bank saw very little. They would have done better to stay indoors and watch it on the box although even that was really boring. Such a shame, it's usually fantastic. The highlight for me was the horse on the river and Celine Dion who was absolutely amazing. She's been so ill, it was quite emotional watching her.

The forecast says a bit cloudy. but dry. Fingers crossed it's right as we're planning a walk along the seafront later.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning.
Cloudy here and not all that warm.
Ally, you have got some energy!
Didn't see much of the Olympic opening ceremony Jen; it did seem to go on and on and everyone seemed to be getting drenched.
Our daugher and family are heading back from Northumberland today; they have a great time this last week and enjoyed good weather.
Dobby the cockerpoo will be depressed now; he's had a week in doggy paradise running up and down sandy beaches, chasing balls and getting wet through but now it's back to boring West Yorkshire!
Have a lovely day everyone.
