Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 26 Jul 2024, 03:30

Good morning.

Had a great day yesterday.
Started off with breakfast at the Giggling Sausage where I opted for the Full Monty.
Suffice to say I honestly didn't eat anything for the rest of the day.

We visited Moz who looked so relaxed and happy.
We spent ages in the gorgeous garden with her playing catch the duck, throw the hoop and walking round with her admiring the beautiful flowers. :D

We chilled out last night having a laugh playing card games. :D

I'm getting the 9.15 train back to Nottingham where Craig will meet me. :D

Few beers tonight in the Doctor's Orders and I need to repack my rucksack as I'm off again tomorrow.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny morning and quite pleasant outside. Warming up soon though.

Cleaning morning for me, get it out of the way early, before it gets too hot ;)

Then not a lot.

Grumpy is fed up with salads, so I-ll finish off the chicken and he-ll have something different for dinner.

Safe travels Ally x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning you three and everyone - happy Friday!

Ally, where are you off to tomorrow? Saw the photo of the breakfast on FB - looked amazing; yum!
Jan, hope you manage to get done what you want before it gets too warm; enjoy a lazy afternoon and good luck with dinner idea for Grumpy ;-)
Cruiser, as always enjoy Chorley

WFH day for me today as per usual for a Friday. I'm sorting out various utilities; yesterday I changed my broadband and TV from BT to Sky - currently paying £76 a month and with Sky it's going down to £40. I know it'll start going up again soon - as all supplies are prone to do, but for now I'll take what I can. And then when the Sky subscription is up in 24 months I'll shop around again and change again. Today I'm moving my gas / electricity and also mobile phone to Utility Warehouse. It's not ideal electricity wise; as it's not renewable electricity, but I need to reduce costs for the next year or two and that will also save me about £20 a month - and again; when the time comes I will change back to green energy.

So that's the plan for today

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning.
A lovely one too, nice and sunny.
Today is supermarket day.
Ria, I need to renew my broadband too. Funny how the price gradually creeps up over the months!
Yesterday I paid the road tax (VEL), gas and electric bills.
I'm over the trauma now though. :)
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning!

It’s sunny, Bill’s had his walk and the washing machine is on. The Tesco order is due shortly. Joe’s got the day off and has just got up. Looks like he’s about to start binge watching The Gentlemen on Netflix.

Ria, we ditched Sky a few years ago and just subscribe to Now TV. That way we’re not taking out a long contract and can cancel easily elements of it now and again. For instance, I cancel Sports as soon as the football season ends and usually get an offer to restart it just before the next one begins. We cancel movies for a few months at a time so that we can start afresh at a later date with a new selection.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s a nice sunny day here for the moment, warm too. Edward gone to play golf and I’ll be off to my mobility class shortly. We had a nice day in Wicklow yesterday, I thoroughly enjoyed my “me” time which included pottering around some shops, then going for an hour long walk. Today I’ll change our bed. I hope to go dancing this evening, Edward is not bothered but I want to go. We’ll see ;)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

I cancelled this week's Sainsbury's order, we've been out and about quite a bit this week so picked up most of what we need. Wash day, between loads I'll be in/out of the garden making the most of the sunshine.

Hope you all have a good day xx

I mainly moved for the broadband Jo. The TV package is the basic one and the only reason I have it is that I can pause and rewind a programme whilst watching. I don't do movies or sports so don't need anything special

Evening everyone :)

Ally the thought of Full Montys at a Giggling Sausage had me giggling too :P ;)  xx

We're fed up with salads too Jan - just had cod, chips and beans   xx

Hi, Cruiser :) xx

Hope you got switched over without too much hassle, Ria :) xx

 Crommers lol xx

Lovely and sunny here too Jo :D xx

Glad you enjoyed yourself yesterday, Osc :) xx

Lovely day for the garden Jen :) xx

It's been a beautiful sunny day here :) SW meeting first thing, then a quick cuppa with Em. Mick came to pick me up, and we came home for a nice quiet afternoon :)

We had a FaceTime conversation with D last night, all's well with her. There was the religious ceremony at Sarah's house, last night (she's ethnically Lebanese, and Moslem) and the big reception shindig is tonight, at a country club. D will be really tired after this, but thankfully has the best part of a week to take It easy and relax - flying home next Thursday overnight - we're picking her up at Heathrow early next Friday morning.

Love to all :) xxx
