Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 23 Jul 2024, 03:43

Good morning.

Don's got 42° today...I'm staying here indefinitely.

I'm going into the city centre today to meet up with my old friend Steve for a bite to eat. :D

We've got 5 episodes of Kin left to watch tonight and Craig's making a baked Bengali mustard & coconut haddock curry for dinner. :D

Must do my nails and book my train tickets for tomorrow. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Warm already and is getting hot. The temperature was 20C at 7.00am

Done all the outside stuff, watched the young fox digging in our field, no wonder Molly came in early

The posh car is off to Almodover this morning, with Joaquim. Apparently, it isn't the gas causing the problem, so Luis is going to take a look-see. Mario thought it was either the compressor or a pipe malfunction.

More money

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It is nearly 20C this morning. The sun is out with lots of blue sky.

Going outfor abit of shopping. Back home will be in the garden. The weeds are trying to take over the back garden.

Will put the washing on as the basket is getting full.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it is supposed to be sunny today, but so far the sun has only made an occasional appearance. Pretty much back to normal today, Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll be doing stuff around the house. I’m also going to go for a walk around the harbour and buy some fish. I may do some ironing, I left clothes on the line overnight so they should be fairly dry and ready to be ironed. Yesterday I submitted our claims for compensation and expenses to Aer Lingus so we just have to wait and see what happens.

Morning all :D

Intermittent rain and sun :?

Ally enjoy lunch.
Jan hope the car isn't too expensive.
Cruiser all this rain is perfect for the weeds.
Riz enjoy dinner with your friends tonight.
Osc good luck with your compensation claim. It took BA over 3mths to refund us when our flights got cancelled due to the Covid lockdown.

We did get out in the garden yesterday, didn't think it needed too much work, but with all the palm leaves and weeding back and front we almost filled the bin :o Surprise, surprise there's more on the grass again this morning, honestly I don't know how it sheds so many. Expect it was all the rain overnight and it was quite windy too.

Expecting more rain today, but hoping to dodge it when we pop over to Westwood Cross. Our phone contracts are up so we need to see what sim only deals 02 are offering. Then we'll have a general mooch, Ed needs new sandals and I'm looking for a cheapo waterproof watch for when we go away. No rush for the latter, but I might as well tick it off the list. Expect we'll pick up a couple of bits in Boots and M&S too.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
Nice and sunny now.
We have been to Sainsbury's.
Jen, you have reminded me that our BT subscription is up shortly and I need to either renew or cancel.
Also I have to pay road tax for the car; given the state of the roads they have some nerve charging you £200 odd for the privilege of dodging the potholes.
Have a nice day everyone.

Silly me, I was a month too early till our phone contracts run out. We could have paid a lump sum today, but he's given us all the details on their sim offers so we'll wait. Did manage to get Ed new sandals so not a wasted trip. We were even lucky with the weather, it didn't rain till we were on our way back home. It's bright sunshine right now.

Too late to have lunch so I'm doing dinner early, it will be ready around 4ish. Not a problem we'll both be hungry by then.

Afternoon all, it’s warm and sunny after a wet start.

I’ve busied myself around the house and also done some home admin today, after Bill had his slightly delayed walk. I’ve also cut the lawns.
Just about to start making a leek, chicken and bacon bake for dinner. Joe’s home a bit earlier, he’s noticed a difference in the volume of traffic now the schools have finished and it’s knocked half an hour off his drive home.

Crommers, it really hurts and annoys to pay the road tax doesn’t it

Have a good day all :)
