Good morning.

Oven roasted hot.

After a swim we're getting the bus into Malaga.
Don fancies a wee shopping spree at Larios and I fancy helping him.

Early to bed tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Pleasantly cool this morning but warming up soon.

Washing out and I watched a fox stalking the sheep earlier  Think he'll have a lot of work to do, as there aren't any lambs around.
I have some prep to do for the bbq and then a swim.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Lovely blue sky with not a cloud in sight. But still only 17C. Going shopping this morning. If it stays nice may do some
gardening this afternoon. The weeds grow quicker than the flowers.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all

Lovely bright sunshine, rain's forecast so we'll see.

Couldn't believe how crowded the train was by the time we got to London, more and more piled in at every stop. Luckily we got on early and had good seats.

Wicked was brilliant, we both got a bit emotional as it hit us how much we've missed not doing 'normal' stuff these last few years. The hotel is very nice, fab views from our room on the 8th floor. It's only been open 11mths so everything is brand spanking new. We decided to eat in their restaurant last night and very nice it was too. Brekkie this morning looks good.

No need to rush, we'll be off to the hospital in the next couple of hours.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, and it’s a bright sunny one here, which is great as I have two loads of washing on the line. Back to normal here - Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll be going to my mobility class in a while. At some stage I have to go to the postal sorting office to collect a packet (I know what it is) - our postman knew we were away and would have just held on to it, but his grandmother died last week so he probably wasn’t at work and whoever was doing the delivery wouldn’t know. I also need to pop to the supermarket to do a “top up” shop.

One of my school friends posted on our WhatsApp group last night that her younger sister died yesterday, she has had physical and mental health issues for many years and was in a nursing home. M lives in Florida, but says she didn’t come over as she has health issues herself, she is trying to comes to terms with it and will tell us in due course, does not sound good :( The seven of us have been friends since we were 5, almost 70 years, and it’s worrying when one of us is unwell.

Good morning.
It is clouding up here after a bright start.
Ally, how king of you to help Don!
Cruiser, yes this weather certainly brings the weeds on.
I hope the fox goes home disappointed Jan.
I'm glad you enjoyed your day Jen, hope the hospital visit goes well.
Back to normal Osc!
MrsC has gone to see how her Uncle Jim is. He has been in and out of hospital again; I think this is the third or fourth time this year after falling.
He insisted on being discharged and said that he can look after himself. He can't, the stubborn old sod.
We need to drop our prescriptions off and like Osc have a little top up shop.
Have a good day everyone.

Hello and good morning everyone

Enjoy the shopping Ally, good that the buses and shopping centres have a/c
Jan, isn't there a guard dog with the sheep? Enjoy the swim and then the BBQ
Jen, enjoy the morning in London and good luck with the hospital! what time is your train and from where - if near Charing Cross and you have a few minutes spare, let me know and I'll pop up and say hi - I'm just 4 mins away from there x
Cruiser, enjoy the gardening
Crommers, can you get some organisation involved to assess and then provide homecare for Uncle Jim>

Well, from me, it's the usual Monday apologies for the radio silence over the weekend - it really has been a very odd few days. I had a friend over from the US so managed to spend some time with her and her husband and yesterday Nadine, another friend and I went to Hampton Court Flower Show, which, despite the at times torrential downpours, was a lovely day.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Ria we're still at the hospital, Ed's waiting for xrays. After that we'll be back to Victoria to get a train home.

He does have carers that visit three times a day Ria.
He was offered more but he has turned it down.
He was assessed in hospital and initially found to be OK to return home, a decision which was reversed the next day. Why, we don't know.
Although when we were rung to say that he had been assessed and was fine my reply of "Christ!" might have had something to do with it.
Anyway, in the end he virtually discharged himself; insisting that he was fine.
Imo the hosspital knows that he isn't, but they are under pressure for beds, social services are under pressure not to take people into care unless they pay for it, etc etc.
Social care is in a state.
