Mozzies are a -munching

There seem to be quite a few around at the moment and for some bizarre reason, after years of not really having any reaction, I'm ballooning out every time I've been bitten

My ankle is huge, my arm looks like Popeyes  and the bumps on my face are just going down

So I've stopped taking the anti-histamines for hayfever, as luckily, that seems to have gone :D - apart from 3 vast sneezes this afternoon

The house pongs of ant-moz plug ins, so need to make sure I have an inhaler handy.

Who wants to live in a hot country

Mmm that's just the trouble Ton, once you've had an allergic reaction you're likely to always get one, that's why it drives me round the bend.
Nowt to do with it being hot either, I've been bitten here as early as February and as late as November!
Boots have brought out a light-fragranced spray which I'm trying, thankfully this year it's been so chilly they haven't been such a problem as usual but I usually spray every evening and before getting into bed anyway.

Oh! Should have said, what you need is hydrocortisone cream, if you put it on as soon as you notice the bite, it will stop it from getting any bigger. It should be available from the chemist and not expensive, I couldn't live without it.

We've not been troubled by mozzies where we are Ton..just a few over the 10 years we've been here. :)

Been fine for years Di - a slight itch and then it would go.

I've regressed back to when we first moved over and everything in the immediate area would just balloon out.

We've got some stuff to put on, but that stinks too

I think, Ally, it's where we are.

The Ria Formosa is full of them - all that standing water. When I used to go witrh a friend for dog walking - she would be covered in bites, big, fat red lumps. No problem for me.

Ally, for your mum.

If she can get Avon stuff, it's the cream so soft or something similar.

Something in it keeps them away.

Can't get it here

Thanks Ton...mum used that when her and dad went to Australia for 3 months and she didn‘t get bitten once. :D

The cream is for if she got bitten again.

She‘s off to the Lake District at the weekend for two weeks..better safe than sorry. :D

Skin so soft..Avon. :D :D :D

Ta Ton. xx
