I've been following the statuses and his pictures of the earth, posted by Chris Hadfield the Canadian Commander of the International Space Staton for a few weeks now. This is his recording of Ground Control to Major Tom, the David Bowie Classic, recorded before his return to earth today

I saw it the other day.... I think that it is great that people doing such ground-breaking work can take time out and have some fun. Thought provoking stuff.

Isn't it fantastic, just the coolest thing. I think his whole journey has been the best thing ever on FB and must have been fantastic for teachers who could have made a five month project of it - I really hope some did use it as such. Apart from the absolute amazingness of it all, Col. Chris Hadfield is so lovely, an utter gentleman, and I am genuinely going to miss his wonderful photos and various other FB updates. I have actually sent up a little prayer that his landing tonight will be safe and uneventful.
