just heard on the radio re the trainstrikes... did I hear right that Aslef are pushing for a salary increase of 5k so average salaries go from £60,000 to £65,000 for - and wait for this!!! - a 4 day / 35 hour week????????????????????????????????????

Please please please someone tell me I need my hearing checked

I’ve not seen or heard the news Ria….but if I tell you that the person with one of the biggest houses on our close was a train driver when he bought it (and now works for one of the rail unions) that should give an idea of their salaries.

And he lives in Grimsby Lincolnshire and commuts?
To Cardiff his base to work
