Morning. Made it home after our very busy day. The kids loved there swimming lesson, Sasha almost got told she couldn't join the class.
Teacher, darling your in the wrong class go and sit on the seats and wait
Me, no, she's in this class
Teacher, no this class is only for toddlers
Me, yes I know, she's enrolled in this class
Teacher, no it's only for 2 and 3 year olds
Me, she's only 3
Teacher....... Stunned look, mouth open
Me, yes I know, she's big for her age
Teacher, wow, I teach 7 year olds smaller than her.
Me, she never swum before either, she's a beginner and I'm expecting her younger brother to be more confident
Teacher, wow, ok then, come on in.

Yes, missey really is a large child, very tall for her age.

And as for the lesson? She was in exactly the right age group. (I didn't want to tell her though that she turns 4 at the end of this month! )

Mother's Day for me tomorrow. I've been told I'm to have a sleep in. :D

Morning all :)
Bright and breezy here but it changes every few minutes so who knows.
Weka hope you get to enjoy your lie-in, that's probably the best present you could have :)

Ally Mr M is here this weekend ;) It's the Christchurch food festival and he's again doing demonstrations. I saw him last year, and as luck would have it he's doing tomorrow, not today when Bb's working :) Will wait and see how the weather is but I think it's supposed to be ok tomorrow; I really enjoy going to the festival, hundreds of stalls with everything food and food-related you could think of :)
It's a week-long festival, and next Sunday is a Bake-off type thing, at the quayside, Jo Wheatley from bakeoff is judging. I might have a look at the website and see if there's anything I could do :)

Minnie is much better today, she's had a very small handful of normal food in with a little bit of chicken and rice so will wait and see but I think it'll be fine.
Have a good time with H and Becky Kaz, and have a good day all
Sorry Debih nearly forgot you, do hope you feel better soon xx
Di

They have a food festival here at Gloucester Docks too Di.......Gino Thingummy from This Morning and I think Mr Martin was there too ;) :D I go for a mooch round the stalls but the queues for the demos put me off bothering with those

Brightening here a little 8-) I'm glad Minnie is recovering well xxxxxx

At Christchurch they have a big marquee, I've never bothered to queue but rather go along just after it's started and have usually managed to spot a seat, but tbh only stay a little while, just to see what's happening.

The actual street market is fine if you get there early, am presuming it will start at ten tomorrow, but within an hour or so it gets so crowded, you can barely move, and I'm not very good at crowds like that.
But, they cleverly have all the stalls each side of the road, facing inwards, so the pavements are relatively clear. So I can manage to switch off from the crowds for a few stalls, then escape to the pavement for a while ;)

Here they put a huge marquee on the Waterways Museum car park, and the queues are massive  The stalls themselves are arranged around the outside of the entrance to the Quays outlet and round the side of the museum, and although crowded it does keep moving so I can manage that ;) :) They have some great stalls and I usually buy a few bits.......pickles, jams, artisan bread, local cider :P
