Insensitive or what

Postby victor » 19 Apr 2023, 14:52

Last Thurs d-i-l and her sister took their Dad to hosp where he was going to have a pacemaker and defibrillator fitted as his heart is irregularl .He is diabetic ,a bit over weight, short of breath and can't walk far as his knees are bad,but they won't do anything to his knees until his heart is better.
D-i-l had spoken to the surgeon before and subsequently explained sll this to her sister.
BUT the sister on speaking to the surgeon herself and he told this isn't going to cure your Father due to the other health problems he has .
Then even though her Father was actually there she said to the surgeon-- well how long has he got left !!!!!!

I suppose a lot depends on how it was said. Curt and to the point is different from a light-hearted kind of asking.
