Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 12 Apr 2023, 06:01

Good morning.

Another gorgeous sunrise and forecast 29°. 8-)

I'll have a swim early then get ready to walk into town to meet some friends for coffee and a pitufo. :)

Got a few goodies to buy to take to the UK for Craig. :D

I can see a couple of beers being quaffed early doors with Don.

Have a great day.

Hope you're feeling better today Kaz. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

another grey and cloudy start  Warming up later, but not quite so warm at 22C  Positively baltic

Off to Ourique this morning, normal shopping, try and pay a bill at the multibank, which I'm rubbish at  and to see Nelson, as there is a problem with one of the machines for the pool.

Back for more weeding and then back into Ourique for our conversation, which was cancelled rather late yesterday, as both of the others had problems with floods and builders arriving later than planned.

I planned it rather well, waited until Grumpy was on his second beer and suggested we have a meal out, as the meeting is later. As much as we both love eating out, it's become a problem, as neither of us are happy driving in the dusk/dark. But it should be okay for tonight - hopefully

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

good morning you two and everyone

Ally enjoy the day
Jan, hope you get all the bits sorted that you want to get done today; good luck with the banking. And if you do go out for a meal later today; please be careful on the way home xx
Cruiser hope you have a good day and makes sense passing on the dollars to your son if he can use them.

Sunny but windy here today. The bathroom is coming along, but very very slow. Have a usual / usual working from home day which involves a trip out to Sainsbury's in a bit and then picking up a wicker ottoman someone is selling that will give me perfect storage in my bedroom

Have a lovely day all and Kaz, hope you're feeling better x

Morning all :)

I am feeling much better, thank you :) Will be taking it steady, but need to get out for some fresh air. We're going round D's this afternoon as she has someone coming round to discuss replacing her bath with a big walk-in shower with a seat - we've been try to persuade her for ages

Al, you often mention pitufo and I have no idea what it is :?: Is it a cake, or a sandwich of some sort? I haven't had breakfast yet, so require details ;) :D 8-) xxx

Jan, drive carefully xxx

That's nice of you Cruiser :) xx

Ria I hope it's finished soon :) I had a beautiful wicker storage box once, Lloyd Loom I think the make was xx

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s sunny yet very breezy and chilly.

Bill had his walk and is now curled up on the sofa.

Think Tom’s going into the school today to do some prep for next term. They had an Ofsted inspection recently, their first one, and were rated Good so they were relieved with that. Tom said that the head was in tears on the day before the inspection, she called an after school staff meeting and was so worried, they’d only been told that the inspectors were going to be in school earlier that day. Tom was one of the unlucky ones whose lesson was observed but he said that the inspector left after 15 minutes and his department was mentioned as being a highlight of the inspection in the feedback meeting.

The cold I had over the weekend which I thought was almost over apart from a bit of a cough yesterday came back with a vengeance yesterday evening, I couldn’t stop sneezing so my nose is glowing now. I thought I’d got away with that as I had been too sniffly with this cold and my nose and sinuses have always been a weak point with me but no.

Hope you’re feeling better today Kaz x

Have a good day all :)

Ah glad you’re feeling better Kaz. That’s a good idea re the shower. That’s what we persuaded my parents to do and it made such a difference to them.

Jo, I worry constantly about her clambering over the side of the bath to use the shower. The bath itself has been unused now for a few years, as she can't pull herself out :(

Great news about Tom's inspection 8-) Hope you feel better soon xx

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast, showers forecast

Glad you're feeling a bit better Kaz.
Hope you feel better soon Jo x
I'm not happy driving in the dark either Jan.

We need to pop into town to get a few bits for our holibobs. Looking out of the window I'd like to put it off, but the rest of this week is busy and we have various appointments booked for next week. Time's flying by and don't want to be rushing around at the last minute.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning.
Sunny outside but the wind is absolutely freezing.
MrsC is going to our daughter's soon and I'm off to the butcher's, who were shut yesterday.
Hope all the coughs and sniffles clear up soon.
Have a good day all.
