Good morning Easter Sunday.

Postby Ally » 09 Apr 2023, 05:58

Good morning.

Sunny and hot again. 30° forecast.
You know summer's approaching when it's 16° through the night. Our ceiling fan is getting big licks.

Off for my walk shortly.

A swim and lazing by the pool reading later.

Roast chicken and salad for dinner.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny and quite pleasant, apart from the funny looking sky  The Sahara dust is back again

Done all the watering, takes ages when everything has to be done

General pootling this morning, prepping dinner. A Rick Stein recipe and not fish  I don't do fish

A friend is coming up for a couple of hours this afternoon :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.
It would be nice if we could get 16 degrees during the day right now. It's grey and chilly out there today.
Jan, do you have a long hosepipe that you could make holes in? The just run it on and the water comes out where the holos are; no need to be up and down with a watering can or a hose. We used to do this when watering the cricket pitch.
MrsC has baked a lovely chocolate cake for Easter Sunday, god knows how I'm ever going to det any weight off.
Our son is coming over for dinner. It's an expensive week coming up; between the 13th and 20th of April we have the birthdays of our daughter, grandaughter and son in law. Never mind, share the love!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, it’s grey and cold here. Edward has our dinner all ready to go in the air fryer, we’ll eat early afternoon in honour of the day even though it’s just the two of us. I made a trifle which he decorated this morning with chocolate eggs and bunnies. Later on I’ll be taking off the yellow nail varnish and putting on pink, we are going dancing tomorrow. There’s a wash in the machine, still have to dry indoors as the weather is not good enough yet. This evening Edward will be watching golf from America, although the weather is bad there and they’ve already suspended play several times over the last couple of days.

Great idea Crommers, but it wouldn't work here, we'd need about a mile of it, as we have about an acre around the house.

Just had a lovely long video chat with a friend, no going to put some washing out and do the prep for dinner.

We’ve had a lovely day :) I tried a new recipe with my leg of lamb and it was beautifully tender :) Roasties and veg with it, gravy made with the lamb juices, then raspberry trifle - which was homemade- or ginger toffee pudding which wasn’t  Stuffed to the gills now :D D has just gone home, Chris is still here. Relaxing now 8-)
