Unidentified Frozen Objects.

Postby Workingman » 17 Feb 2023, 13:26

I am defrosting the freezer and have found some UFOs and one rather ancient chilli-con-carne from March 2014!

YES 2014!!!

The seven UFOs are batch meals and I cannot tell what they are or when they were made. I mark the lids with a felt tip as they are being put away but with all the other stuff being put in or taken out over time they have either worn away or are smudged.

All the good stuff is double wrapped in a spare duvet so should be ok for a few hours. All I have to do now is let the ice melt away.

It’s bread rolls in our freezer, I open a pack and if it looks like they won’t all be eaten I put a clip on it and freeze them.
Every few months I end up throwing out loads of part packs.

I’m impatient Annie when defrosting the freezer, takes a hour tops, I use a hairdryer and the freezer scraper and do it until it’s completely ice free. Then everything back I and switched on.

Have to say WM I’m very surprised you have 9 year old frozens!!! Have you not defrosted since 2014? ??? ;)
