Am still debating whether to get a new TV. Have had the existing one for many years and reports on new ones are good. It would have
a bigger screen and better colour.

Morning all :)

Enjoy your yomp, Ally! Have you got snow! :? xx

The pantomime will be nice Cruiser :) xx

Just seen some photos Osc put on FB, looks like she and E are having a lovely time :D xx

Well the snow has frozen here overnight, so I doubt my usual day in town is on the cards  Will possibly trudge up to the Co-op as we're a bit low on milk and bread.

Stay warm everyone :) xx

No snow here Kaz.

It's been gorgeously frosty for three days but today feels much milder with no frost.

Perfect walking weather. :D

Morning everyone

Dull, grey and going to be wet later. Still mild though.

Not long woken up  Much needed sleep, after the disturbed night, with all that rain and wind.

Will be popping down to give David and Rita their post - it comes into our box, for some reason :? - and will get petrol, do the recycling and have a coffee on the way back.

The staying in, watching the rain. We're in for another few days of this, heavy rain, thunderstorms and high wind

steak for dinner, as a treat.

Enjoy your yomp Ally :D

Have a good day everyone, stay warm xx

Good morning all

Cruiser; depending on how much TV you watch then do consider that new one. I treated myself to one and the screen quality compared to the old one (both Sony Bravia's) is just amazing and worth every penny spent on it, it makes such a difference.
Ally enjoy the yomp
Jan hope the winds settle soon; stay safe x
Kaz, definitely be careful on iced over snow - enjoy a warm day inside

Well I woke up to a very slight dusting of snow; really thought I'd struggle to defrost the car but it was surprisingly quick that I made an earlier train - go me! :D The closer we got into London it was apparent that there was a lot more snow there than where I am; cue disruptions to local transport. Major delays on all tubes (even the ones that don't see the light of day? - go figure). The walk over Hungerford Bridge (that runs over the Thames alongside the train track coming out of Charing Cross) was a rather slippery affair; definitely wasn't expecting that walk and wasn't wearing the right shoes.. I wasn't overly worried about slipping and ending up on my butt, but more that if I did the contents of my handbag would end up in the Thames ;) so I did a slow penguin waddle across

Stay safe everyone and keep warm xxx

It's good to have friends around here :Hi:

We were coming back from the bar when we heard an awful screeching coming from the car somewhere. I got out to have a listen and it was coming from the front wheel.

Got home, had breakfast, then rang Sergio, a car mechanic we know.

He came up straight away and sorted it. something and nothing, really, but better to be safe.

He's had a beer and I insisted on giving him 10 euros, although he tried to refuse.

Being without a car up here is not good

I now have a picture of you in my head Ria, walking in the snow

Good afternoon all.
Very cold here this morning, -3c when we got up. It was also foggy but that's gone a bit now.
MrsC and her sis have gone to our son's house for a bit of fettling.
I'm off to the atm to get some cash and apart from bringing MrsC home I reckon that will be it for the day.
I'm glad that Osc is having a nice holiday.
It's trying to snow now.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm.

Morning all :)

Quite mild here, no signs of frost or snow........yet.

Enjoy your stomp Ally.
We've been thinking about a new TV too Cruiser, will probably wait for the January sales now.
Be careful if you venture out Kaz.
Glad you had a good sleep Jan.

That's me all the time these days Ria
Wrap up warm if you get snow Crommers.
Lovely photo's from Osc on Fb, looks as though they're having a great time.

Expected to wake up to snow this morning, I know they have it in Whitstable, not that far away. Z posted a photo on Fb and It's thick where she is. Not a lot happening, waiting in for Boots to deliver a prescription and I've had a text to say a parcel should arrive today via Royal Mail. Also expecting a Tesco delivery later this afternoon, plenty of excuses to batten down the hatches and stay in the warm.

Hope you all have a good day xx
