Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny but a little chilly this morning.

Stew making for me later and then this afternoon, a drive up to Beja for whatever test they want me to have. No food or drink from 10.00 this morning. Food won't be a problem, but no water is a killer for me. I would normally have about three bottles in those five hours.

Pit stop at the bar on the way home for a much needed beer and also find out which friend has the onions  Jan, Chris and Lucy are going to Castro Verde market this morning and we would normally go, and they are very kindly getting our onions for us

Enjoy your day of solitude Ally, I love having time to myself 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

good morning you three and everyone

Ally, enjoy the day. 24 degrees, that is such a perfect temperature.
Jan, safe drive to Beja and good luck with the tests. I never understand the no water bit - someone with kidney issues and the elderly would really struggle. Why not allow people to suck on an ice cube because that would be enough to stop any thirst / dehydration whilst not being too much liquid. You'll definitely deserve those beers later on!
Cruiser, same morning here - sunny but nippy. The heating came on; hasn't done that for some time.

Another day in the office for me, and keeping fingers crossed that it's the last day this week and not at all next week. This week I've done 3 days which I think is enough LOL ;) and next week there are train strikes Monday and Wednesday which means Tuesday and Thursday will be affected so I'm going to try use that as an excuse  . I'll monitor calendars and play it by ear.

Have a lovely day all x

Don's sent me videos of plaza Espana in Madrid last night.

Even though Celtic are knocked out thousands of fans are there and it looks (and sounds! ) incredible.

Don is the most laid back person on the planet (think horizontal  ) but I can tell he's overjoyed to be there with Conor. :cute:

Morning all, it’s a miserable day here, not raining at the moment but it rained earlier with more forecast for later and I did think it was a bit cooler this morning, still not put the heating on though. Busy day today - off to the gym in a while, then hairdresser at 1pm. My brother is coming to stay the night, my sister will collect him from where he stayed last night and bring him here, then we will all go out for something to eat. I did all the ironing yesterday plus I have a load of washing pinned on the drying rail.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here :D

We're off into town shortly, E's lost one of the the little cushions on the bridge of his glasses so needs to pop into Specsavers. They are usually very good and get it fixed in 5mins or so. Fingers crossed that happens today, he doesn't have a spare pair. I'll pick up a prescription while we're there.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, Don sounds very much like Mick, horizontal for sure  Glad they’re enjoying themselves :) xx

Jan, loads of luck xxx

Afternoon Cruiser :) xx

Hope you get to work from home for a bit now Ria xxx

Osc, it started out nice here, but we just had a massive downpour and there’s a weather warning for torrential rain and 65mph winds for this evening  xxx

Hope W gets his specs mended quickly Jen xxx

We’re at D’s now, but had lunch at Portivo. I met my friend J for a quick cuppa early on, then walked to the Quays to meet Mick. I need new boots, my knee-length black ones have split between the sole and upper, so I had a look in the Clark’s outlet - still over a hundred quid for a decent pair, even at outlet price  So maybe not

Supposed to be going to Zumba tonight but a) the weather warning and b) my sinuses are playing up- so might give it a miss ;)

Love to all xxx

alas no :( have to come in to prep some materials for a client meeting. And it actually is something everyone here could easily do, but as it is my job I can't really not come in - sigh. But will leave the moment they head off for the meeting so I'll be home early

That was painless 8-)

Had a CAT scan and was in and out within 20 minutes :Hi:

Then we went to find the conservatoria, where we have to go for our new residençia cards.

Easy peasy.

Back to the bar for a couple of beers, Jan stopped on her way back from the Algarve and Chris and Lucy stopped too so a lovely half hour :Hi:

Collected the onions, so they need to go in tomorrow, before it rains.

Stew now warming up, also a few steamed spuds and cabbage.

Proper winter food
