Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 30 Oct 2022, 06:18

Good morning.

Mostly sunny and forecast 25°. 8-)

It's still so warm at night we're still just sleeping on the bottom sheet. At this rate we'll have the duvet on for five minutes before it's May and it comes off again.

Off for a forest walk. :D

Reading and a swim later.

We'll get a pollo asado from bar Dani. She does the best rotisserie chicken. All juicy, herby and carved to save me doing it. and I have salad and spicy potato wedges to go with it. :)

SCD results and a film tonight.

Have a great day.

Have a smashing time at the wedding Kaz. xx

Morning Ally :) Morning all :)

Al, we've had the winter duvet on for a while now, but to be honest it's not really cold yet at night, it's mild for the time of year xx

Up early for us, seeing as we had that extra hour  Have just reset the board timings back to GMT, hopefully I've done it right :geek:  The wedding isn't until 4PM so we're having a nice lazy morning, round to collect D at about 1, so plenty of time to get ready :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good morning everybody,

There are grey clouds but no rain.
I have not changed the duvet. I think it it i still a summer one which I had on last winter. I am wrm enough in bed.
Am changing the clocks. I have 13 including one mechanical one. I stopped this for an hor when I got up. The others are battery operated. Some adjust automatically.
Will do the one in the car when I goout shopping. Also have two watches I wear regularly to change.

Going to Tesco shopping and then just pootling.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Sun with a few white clouds around and 25C for us too. We had the rain which was forecast for this afternoon last night  and the internet is really slow this morning, gone into winter mode, I think

So the day planned outside weeding isn't going to happen. But I've striopped the bed, and the washing is out already. Rain is forecast for tomorrow, so best to do it today.

Have a lovely time at the wedding Kaz xx

No idea what we're going to do now, will think of something, no doubt.

BBQ later 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all.
Dull and damp here. The leaves are really coming down now; I'll have to rake some off the front lawn this afternoon.
Enjoy the wedding Kaz. Cruiser, thirteen clocks? That's a lot to alter.

Our daughter had an inadvertent adventure yesterday. She had been to Leeds for her hair done and some shopping and came back on the train to Sandal station, where she had parked her car. Only she didn't, because the train doors didn't open when she pressed the button, and the train moved off to the next stop (Fitzwilliam) with her still on board!
So she got off at the next stop, just missed a train going the other way back to Sandal and at that point rang us. So out with the car, off to Fitzwilliam, pick her up, back to Sandal and we're sorted.
Best thing was, after she couldn't get off the ticket inspector came round, looked at her ticket and says "This only takes you as far as Sandal". E informed him warmly that there was nothing she would have liked better than to get off at Sandal, especially considering that that was where her car was parked, and if his blinking train doors had hae opened, that's where she would have got off!
Still, all's well that ends well.
Sunday lunch with the family today, all good.
Have a smashing day everyone.

Morning all, it’s a nice autumn morning here. We had a bit of a late night last night (well, late for us) even with the clock going back, so I’m tired this morning. Michael and Kellie are coming later on for a last minute sleepover, luckily I made up their beds yesterday as I thought I would be tired. We had a great fun evening, though, dancing and chatting - when we arrived, the heat was on in the hall  It was so hot that I had to go and take off my tights. We heard yesterday that a long time dance friend of ours died during the week - we had not seen them since before the pandemic and actually thought they might be there last night, but her husband messaged me yesterday to give us the sad news. The dance organiser played a favourite waltz of our friend and we all danced it in a tribute.

Right, better get myself showered and do the general tidying around.

Morning all :D

Very wet

Loved Strictly last night Ally, looking forward to the results tonight although I'm not sure I'll be happy with whoever goes.
Enjoy the wedding Kaz.
It's still really warm here Cruiser, the temp in our hall was 21 degrees. The cold weather when it arrives is going to be a shock.
We didn't get out in the garden yesterday Jan, probably should have, it's definitely not nice enough today.
Gosh that was an adventure for your daughter Crommers, thank goodness it stopped at the next station.
We got all the clocks sorted before bed Saundra.
Sad about your friend Osc.

Usual lazy start for us, only just having brekkie/lunch. Roast chicken and veg for dinner this evening, choccy blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Feels like it Saundra, doesn't it?

We went down to our nice neighbours house (with a couple of cold beers) as they wanted to know how the tiling was progressing around the pool. Took some photos and have sent them off, Looks very nice and picked some acorns too.

Idiot next door has bought yet more land and has housed some of his goats and sheep there, having built a little shelter for them. Daft bugger really should keep a dog down there, as he has ducks too

BBQ was rubbish. I have no idea why Grumpy decided to light such a small fire, so I had to turn off the potatoes and then finish of the meat inside. Couldn't eat the entreamadas, but Molly loved them
