Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 19 Oct 2022, 05:18

Good morning.

Sunny and 26° forecast. It looks like Autumn is arriving. :cute:

A walk soon, a quick swim then get ready to walk into town for some goodies. (Aka C word presents  )
Also a carton of ciggies for a mate that I can shove in my case.

I'll peg the washing out when I get back then sit down!

I can see a Wednesday trip to our local for beer and dinner tonight happening.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Grey and cool and staying that way, as well as wet  24C and rain :Hi: Nothing as yet, but won't be long ;)

Off to Ourique again soon. We have friends travelling down to see us. Not seen them since before the pandemic, so a lot to catch up on. They're in Tomar - oop north - at the moment but should be with us either tomorrow or Friday. I need stuff to cook for them and we'll get a baguette for breakfast and do pork steak and mushrooms in it.

Other than that, I'll be on the phone to the helpline again as Grump's e-mail for his residençia hasn't come through.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s completely miserable here, constant rain and occasional very heavy showers, I think it is supposed to be like that for the day. I’m going to the gym this morning, and Kellie will be here later instead of tomorrow. Michael has a half day from school on a Wednesday, so said he would come here for his dinner which will be nice as we don’t get to see him so regularly these days. In the meantime, before I go to the gym I need to go up to the shops to get milk and also order prescriptions from the chemist which I’ll collect after the gym. Off to make the bed before I venture out into the rain.

Go on, rub it in!
Sunny here and not too bad.
We are hanging around waiting for a phone call.
I've been for a paper and some shopping. Must do my neck and shoulder excercises today.
Received an email from the rheum nurse (after I'd chased them up) about a chest x-ray which reading between the lines, they'd forgotten about.
Also British Gas have told me about getting £66 a month towards my energy bills for the next six months.
Have a nice day all.

Our solar panel fitting is turning into a real saga! Supposed to be done and dusted yesterday and the scaffolding down today, but there’s an issue with our roof tiles and they need to order some special fixtures- suffice to say the scaffolding is still up, the guys have gone until next week at the earliest! :cute: Mick and I are out at Portivo Lounge now, having brunch to cheer us up

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-)

Waiting for Boots to deliver a prescription. Also got to move the broken freezer and have a tidy up in the garage. John Lewis will be delivering a new back up freezer sometime tomorrow. We did think about whether we really needed one, but the one in the kitchen is an integrated fridge/freezer so space is a bit limited. The one arriving tomorrow will replace the old one in the garage. It's a Beko, not a make we know much about, it's the cheapest frost free one JL sell and they give a 2yr guarantee so fingers crossed. We should get a text later today giving us a 2hr delivery slot.

Oh and I've managed to get a Sainsbury's delivery slot for Christmas if nothing else I'm definitely organised

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny still despite rain being forecast from 9am onwards  It’s very breezy.

Joe’s just got home, he’s finished now for the week because he’s got a lot of holiday to take before the end of the year. We’re just watching the last few episodes of the Welcome To Wrexham documentary on Disney+, I watched them at the weekend but don’t mind watching again. It’s been an excellent series.

We’re off to Manchester for the third time in six days later, it’s an 8.15 kick off tonight but at least Joe can have a lie in tomorrow. We’ve not yet had a traditional 3pm at home on a Saturday kick off this season and it looks like it’ll be February at least before that happens.

Jen, I’ve heard lots of good things about Beko appliances.

Kaz, what a nuisance - nothing ever goes smoothly does it! You’d have thought that someone would’ve checked which fixings were needed as soon as the job was booked in.

Have a good day all x

I don't buy extra insurance either Saundra. JL give 2yrs with most of their electrical products as a normal practice.
