Morning Ally, morning everyone

Gorgeous sunrise ad we're in for 31C today 8-)

Spent that last half hour chasing up our tv. We hope it's down the bar, if not, we'll have to go to Ourique and see what they say in the post office. If it's a trip to Castro Verde I will be really peed off. We could have had the tv delivered to the shop there. So we'll see. The problems of living in the middle of nowhere ;)

Cleaning this morning, then curry making.

We'll get some rolls at the bar, might have to wait half an hour for the breadman - you never know what time they arrive. Usually within a half hour window, but sometimes not

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Happy Friday and good morning all

Enjoy your days Ally and Cruiser and Jan good luck with the TV; that really is frustrating

working from home today - yay!!!! makes the mornings soooooo much more relaxed. Usual mix of work and pootle and helping out a neighbour this afternoon and giving her a lift to the vet with her cat. Not sure what the evening plans are; Nadine may pop round after work or I may pop round to theirs or we'll both not pop anywhere :D

have a lovely day everyone xx

Good morning all, it’s a bit brighter now after a dull start.

Me and Joe were back before 11.30 last night, we were coming down the M6 by Stoke just as the workmen were starting to put cones out to close three out of the four lanes so that was good timing.

I’m waiting for the Tesco delivery. I’ll need to go shopping though because a fair few basics are missing (free range eggs for instance, yet there seem to be plenty available apart from the Tesco ones I’d ordered and I’d selected subs for everything).

Joe will be home at lunchtime, I’m wondering what he’ll bring home today. One of the cleaners at work has split up with her fella so he’s taken all of his stuff and told her to get rid of everything else. Turns out that he was a bit of a football collector and she knows that Joe loves football and over the course of this week she’s given him signed copies of a few autobiographies - by Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville and Luka Modric. She also had signed copies of Tony Adams’ and Michael Owen’s books but he turned those down

John and Tom are off to Wales to visit the family after dinner this evening. They’ll be back Sunday morning.

Have a good day all :)

Down to the bar we went, nothing there, so did all the recycling, had a coffee, got some rolls and trundled off to Ourique.

TV was sat in the post office, I could see it as soon as I walked in. Sorted it all out with Amelia, the lovely post lady. She said that he wouldn't have left it in the bar, no idea why he didn't leave a card in our post box, but it probably had a lovely tour of the area yesterday, as it was in the van before 9.00am  He probably didn't even bother to attempt to get it here

Back for breakfast, really lovely rolls and now thinking about not doing the cleaning until tomorrow  Lazy bint

Enjoy your day at home Ria x

Morning all, it’s a pleasant day here and Edward has gone to play golf. I’m feeling a bit weird, slightly dizzy, so I’ll take things easy (nothing new there  ). I’ve to put on a wash and might waft a duster around. Going dancing tonight if I feel a bit better.

Morning all......almost

Nice and sunny at the moment.

Glad you found the tv Jan.

Overslept this morning, it was nearly 11 before we got up  Playing catch up with the usual washing now. We had planned to winterize the bed, wash and dry the under sheet protector, turn and hoover the mattress and change to the winter duvet, the lot. Oh well, good intentions and all that, it will have to wait until tomorrow now.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all.
We have done the Sainsbury's run and I have been to the physio at Pontefract. He informs me that I have an arthritic shoulder, no surprise there. He said it was like a gate that was rusted shut and he was going to try and loosen it. Gordon Bennett, did he give me some stick. Ow ow ow.
He has also sent me some exercises to do.
I wasn't going to have a drink tonight but I blinking well am now!
Have a good day everyone.
