Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 13 Oct 2022, 05:53

Good morning.

Warm and sunny and forecast 30°. By the time we get to put a duvet on the bed it'll be time to take it off again.

We had a fantastic day with the boys yesterday. The town was buzzing. :cute:

Off for a walk soon. I'll have a swim late afternoon.

I've every intention of staying in tonight but that is not set in concrete.

Have a great day.

Blimey Al, never-ending summer :D xx

Morning all :)

I have a 9.15 hair appointment, early enough to still get up to D's to go shopping at the usual time. This afternoon I have housework and ironing to do, and Pilates this evening.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sunny, but a little chilly at the moment. Another 30C day for us too 8-)

Been awake since the early hours and have been reading in the spare room. Had Molly for company for some of the time. I really do not need a hot cat on my back

Just had a text to say the tv will be delivered at 7.00pm. As it's CTT, no doubt they'll leave it at the bar, instead of coming up the track. Not what I'd ordered, so we'll see.

Going to play with the new toy sometime today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s sunny now after a misty start.

Bill’s had his walk, a torch is a necessity now first thing. I’ve got some housework to do and once Joe gets home we’ll be off to Manchester, we tend to leave at around 5 so we have chance to get something to eat before going in. We’ve not had a home game for 5 weeks and now we’ve got them today, Sunday and Wednesday.

Me, John and Tom went to see The Lost King last night. Not sure how close to the truth it is as Leicester Uni seem a bit out out about how they’re portrayed but it’s an excellent film.

Have a lovely day all :)

Morning everyone.
A nice morning here.
Later on we will be fence painting again. It needs doing.
Over to our sons in a while to drop off some ironing.
Jo, this season is nuts. A World Cup in the middle of it, the stupid "Nations League" which nobody cares abaout, and three UEFA club competitions, the Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League; and the last two nobody cares about. The Premier League, which people do care about, gets mucked around for all this rubbish.
Have a nice day everyone.

Fence painting is on our to do list Crommers, last time we did it was during the first lockdown and me and Joe went on a road trip after fence paint when I eventually found the colour we wanted in stock

We’re only going tonight because these are tickets we have to pay extra for being Europa League, we could opt out of cup games for the season but then we won’t be able to apply for away matches next season. Don’t forget the full postponement of games the weekend after the Queen died that have still to be scheduled, and then Man Utd v Leeds Utd being postponed the weekend after that too because of GMP sending officers to London (where some were spotted policing games there).
Qatar should never have been allowed to host the World Cup.

Morning all, it’s nice and sunny here and no rain forecast until this evening. We are going to dance practice this morning then back to collect Kellie from school. Edward is readying meatballs to put in the slow cooker, to be served with pasta for dinner. I just need to make the bed and tidy around before we go out. We had a bit of a shopping spree yesterday, and a nice lunch out, I got a nice padded coat in TK Maxx, plus new walking boots. Edward got things he wanted too, so we were both happy!

good morning everyone
Ally, we can only dream of 30 degrees here. Although saying that the heating didn't come on this morning and the next week or so the temps are back up to double digits for both day and night - along with lots of rain ;-)
Jan, good luck with the telly - if nothing else the screen quality will be a huge difference and you'll wonder how you coped before LOL
Crommers, I really need to get some paint on some of my fence panes, but need to clear the area first to get at it; been meaning to do it since this time last year and still haven't gotten round to it
Kaz and Osc, enjoy the day doing your bits and bobs
Jo, enjoy the game and good luck!

Another day in the office today; makes it four days this week. I was hoping to have most of the week working from home tomorrow, but looks like it'll be a fairly busy one again :(

have a good day everyone x

Morning all :D

Very wet here, the rain's stopped for now, but more's promised.

Glad you had a fun day with the boys Ally.
Hope the hairdo goes well Kaz.
What TV did you get in the end Jan?
Enjoy the match Jo.
Good luck with the fence painting Crommers.
I've popped a casserole in our slow cooker Osc, they really are useful.
Hope work goes well Ria.

We had a good session in the garden yesterday, still a couple of bushes at the back which could do with a bit of a tidy up. The garden bin was almost full so we decided they can wait for another day. While we were putting the shears back in the garage we noticed the red light on our back up freezer was blinking. The manual said it was because the temp was too high so we checked the food and it was all solid, closed it up, checked the temp gauge was set correctly and crossed our fingers till this morning, It's all defrosting so that's that, no space available in the house freezer so it will all have to be tipped. Luckily there's not too much. Not sure if it's included in our house insurance will have to take a look.

Usual shopping day at Westwood Cross and M&S. Also need things from Boots, they have an offer of £10 worth of points for a £60 spend for today only. I've deliberately put off off buying some things we need so it won't be difficult to reach that amount 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx
