A question of jabs ......

Just wondering if any of you have had your flu and covid booster jabs together and how you got on?

I was chatting with a lady this afternoon who went up our surgery last Saturday and she told me that she was given both jabs in the same arm. I thought they weren't supposed to do this. Any ideas?

Can I insist they use separate arms?

(Apocryphally, they may have misjudged the number of folk they'd offered appointments to, and there were queues not only inside and outside the surgery, but also on all the local roads as no-one could get parked up, so they might have been trying to "rush people through" - but that's only what I've been hearing.)

Mick and his mum had both together, but in separate arms. I would think having both in the same arm would be pretty sore

I don't see why you couldn't ask for separate arms, just have both sleeves rolled up ready

No reason at all why you cant say separate arms please.

I have got the team to make Luke an appointment for his flu jab, but I am happy for him to wait for his covid. Flu worries me more at the moment.

We are having our flu jabs tomorrow. I’m not sure if the adapted Covid booster is available yet, we can’t have it anyway as we only got our second booster in July. I’m quite glad that we are not getting both at the same time though.

Grumpy has his next week, I'll no doubt get a text at 3.30am again, telling me when mine is. Bit of a bugger that they can't do both of us at the same time.

The surgery is running an appointment system. I have opted to wait for both at the same time and in the same arm. Can't have them in my right arm because of a scar, a bit of a sod for a left-hander, but hey! No problem as yet.

Mrs O and I are inclined to ask for separate jabs in each arm.
WM, fully understand why you have to have them in the same arm. Hope you get on OK.

Ossie we had our Covid and flu jabs on Saturday, separate arms for each jab. Both my arms were a little sore for just one day. E had no side effects at all.

I have to have all jabs in my right arm having had breast surgery on my left side.

Just go in a string vest with a jacket over the top Os, a la Rab C. Nesbitt. Sorted!
