Good morning all, the sunrise was stunning this morning when I walked Bill.

We’re forecast 18° today, tomorrow is forecast to be 19°.

It was a busy weekend here, did some shopping yesterday morning and was in the middle of cooking dinner when my Dad phoned John and asked if he could go and help pick my Mom up because she’d fallen again. He was gone for an hour, she was fine but had somehow fallen between her chair and the cupboard at the side of it. He said that, again, the tricky thing was getting her to bend to sit her up to make it easier to move her. He had the same problem last week and my sister said that she was the same when Roger had to go over to pick her up when I had Covid. Other than that she was okay.

Amanda had stayed over on Saturday so had dinner here, bless her I love her to bits but she’s now vegetarian so whenever she has dinner I have to adapt it for her and yesterday was cottage pie. I keep bags of Quorn chicken, mince, meatballs and sausages in the freezer for such occasions so she had a veggie pie while the reat of us had a meat one  I had to whip up some emergency Yorkshires though, I had a bag of roast potatoes in the freezer which I’d intended having with the pie but when I looked they’re duck fat ones

Anyway, Joe dropped her back home mid afternoon because she was going to a concert with her sister in Birmingham last night. He went to bed at 10 and reappeared an hour later with his overnight bag. They’d missed their last train and their Dad couldn’t pick them up because he was with her Mom at Amanda’s Nan’s house because her Nan had had a fall too.
Joe stayed at Amanda’s rather than drive to Birmingham and then back to Eccleshall to take Amanda and Rachel home and then drive half an hour back here again.

Have a good day all :D

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

We have that blasted Saraha dust again, so a funny looking sky. Warm here too, at 31C later.

The family are off later this morning, to spend the day eing Algarve tourists before their flight back home tonight.

I will be spending the week washing and ironing

Oh dear Jo, such a worry about your mom xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.
Cloudy but still dry. A real autumn morning.

Going out to a computer class which is being run by the local council for free. There are only six of us. It gets me out meeting people and learning
some new things about computers.

Have a good day everybody.

Hello and good morning all

Jan, it'll be an empty house for you once everyone is gone :( Hopefully they'll be back to visit sometime soon again
Ally, have a fab day
Jo, whilst I'm not a vegetarian at all, I very often have meat free days. As a matter of interest, if Amanda is vegetarian then chances are she'd eat the roasties despite the duck fat - she'd eat butter, honey etc and drink milk as well, no? If she were vegan then different matter but as a vegetarian it would be interesting to see just what she does / doesn't eat.
Cruiser, enjoy the class today - you're so amazing at getting out and about and keeping busy

Well, back to the usual / usual for me - caught up on most of the emails (I think) and will be spending the day with the mix of work / pootle. Office days Tuesday - Thursday so may as well make the most of it.

Have a fab day everyone x

Morning all, it’s overcast but dry here and Edward has gone to play golf. I’m expecting a delivery this morning (between 11.47 and 12.47, so precise  ) but not sure which it is of two things we are expecting - one is a comfort layer for our foam mattress as Edward finds it a bit hard, and the other is a suitcase we ordered from Italy. I’m also expecting my monthly book from The Book Resort which should arrive today as well, but I’ve had no notification about it. In the meantime, I’ll get on with some h/work.

Always welcome, just not all of them at the same time.

It's been full on  and a bit weird, having to sleep elsewhere. Puss cat hates it too. Not been in the house at all. Just comes to the back door every now and then for food.

At least I get out of the washing up, Tracy has done it all :Hi:

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Z used to be vegetarian too Jo, as you say it can be difficult at times. She's now been a strict vegan for the last couple of years, everything must be plant based, even more difficult. Thank goodness a lot of supermarkets now cater for vegans, but it is a faff finding things she will eat. Oh and Zachery is dairy free, another problem. Apart from Christmas I prefer to take them out to eat, more expensive, but much easier
Gosh the visit has gone quickly Jan, hope the family enjoy the Algarve and have a safe journey home.
The computer class sounds a great way to meet people Cruiser.
I love my slow cooker Saundra, just wish I had more recipes for it.

No plans for today, we've had a nice lie in and apart from expecting an order from Tesco later this afternoon intend to be very lazy.

Hope you all have a good day xx
