Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 22 Sep 2022, 05:40

Good morning.

The temp button is wavering back to 31° again. It was so hot yesterday walking home from the hairdresser.

An early swim first.

Walking into town for 11 to meet two friends for brunch. Under a parasol. :D

I'll get a few salad bits whilst there and walk home.

No doubt the pool will call and I know my Kindle definitely will.

Masterchef final tonight and the last Crossfire too.
Really enjoyed both. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Bit misty this morning but the sun is out and we're in for another warm day 8-)

Mozz attack again last night  Got me, missed Grumpy, so must remember to put some stuff on before we go to bed tonight.

Washing machine working away and I'll do the shower room tiles today. It's tiled on all four walls, so that's a good work-out

The good news yesterday was that the family have hired two cars, so no need for us to drive down to pick them up/drop them off :Hi: Well, I had planned on chucking two of them on the train for the return journey, as the time of the afternoon train fits in perfectly with their flight

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.
The sun is out ut rain is forecast forlater today.

Had a lovely afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe yesterday. It was with other pensioners from the firm I used to work for.
We had assorted finger sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream. Very posh and the sun was shining. Could see the hills of the Lake District
across Morecambe Bay.
Going shopping this morning. Will be ironing this afternoon.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all :)

Ally, your plans sound good :D xx

Jan, can you get Marmite out there? Apparently if you eat it, mozzies will stay away 8-) xx

Cruiser, that does sound nice, glad you had such a nice time :) xx

I'm not feeling too well, but I did a test and it's not covid, so I'll be doing the usual Sainsbury's shop - will give Pilates a miss though. Otherwise will be taking it easy.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Not that I know of Kaz and I wouldn't eat it anyway, think i prefer a mozz bite

Avon so soft is supposed to work, but can't get that either

I've got a good anti-mozz spray that's not too obnoxious smelling, as most of them just stink.

Mist now gone and it's lovely outside 8-)

Morning all, it’s miserable here, been raining since early this morning and due to carry on all day  However, I am meeting school friends for lunch, one from Boston, one from New Zealand and one local, although the local one may not turn up - she got back from holiday in Barbados yesterday and may be jet lagged. So that’ll be an afternoon of chat and laughter. Edward will collect Kellie from school.

Jan, apparently it is the yeast in Marmite that repels the mozzies - can you get yeast tablets?

Morning all, it’s a sunny one here and forecast to be quite warm.

Bill’s had a nice walk and after I’ve had coffee I need to go and tidy the garage so that Tom can store some stuff in there. It’s not too bad but we decorated two weeks ago so all of the painting stuff and various tins of paint are lying around on the floor.

Tonight we’re all at a wedding reception, my oldest friend Rob’s daughter Eve is getting married today. She only got engaged in May and she and her mother were at a wedding fair in June, Ruth went for a coffee while Eve browsed and by the time they met up again Eve had spoken to a venue who had a stand there about availability, found out that they had a few last minute-ish dates available and had booked one on impulse. They’re just having a small family wedding today and then a reception this evening.

Anyway, I’d better go and update yesterday’s update on the other board :?

Hope you’re feeling better soon Kaz x

Have a good day all :)

No idea Osc, but I will look, thank you.

Does yeast in beer count ;)

Off to Ourique this afternoon, as Grumpy wants some stuff from the drogaria, so we'll stop at the bar on the way back. Try the yeast in the beer
