Morning all, after a dull start the sun has now come out, plenty of cloud around though. I’m heading to town on the next bus, just a quick visit to M&S as I would like a new swimsuit. Edward is busy in the kitchen. Miss Osc and family are due back at 5pm, it looks as if they had a brilliant holiday, much needed by Miss Osc and SIL. No plans for the rest of the day when I get home from town.

We have a very strong smell of smoke, almost misty

It's coming down from a huge fire up north. It's now in resolution, which means it has been contained. Just need to put it out now.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Had a bit of a palaver yesterday, the GP pinged off a prescription to Boots for me to pick up in the afternoon. Got down there and it was closed, bars on the doors the lot. A notice said they would open at 2pm so there was quite a queue. Out came one of the workers who announced their whole system was down, it was affecting stores nationwide, I did ask if they'd been hacked, the lady said possibly :o Anyway went to the surgery and they printed it out for me to take to the pharmacy next door. To cap it off we had steady drizzlie the whole time we were out, it stopped just as we got home.

The forecast is good for today so we're off out for a walk in the next hour couple of hours. We'll probably have lunch at The Pavilion when we get to the harbour. We haven't been out properly all week so it will be a nice treat.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a bit mixed today. Sunny one minute and dull the next.

Up early to see Joe off this morning. He’s masquerading as an Aston Villa supporter on the supporters coach for the away game at Crystal Palace with his friend Zak, who is a genuine Villa supporter. Zak’s Dad changed his mind about going to Joe’s using his ticket.

We’ve got some jobs to do for my parents this afternoon so we’ll be off there shortly.

Jen, remember when we were told that electronic prescriptions would make life easier?

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon all :)

Enjoy the birthday BBQ Ally :) xx

Glad that fire was contained Jan, must have been scary to be able to smell it :? xx

Hope you got your swimsuit Osc, and glad Miss Osc and co enjoyed theIr holiday :) xx

That was a result then Cruiser :D xx

Jen that must have caused a lot of chaos if it was nationwide  Glad the surgery could sort it out for you xx

Hope Joe and his friend enjoy the footie Jo :) xx

We've been out all day, and not long got home. Out early for brekkie at Corretto's - just as well we did, as unbeknownst to us there was an event on, some sort of display, and we probably wouldn't have got outside seats if we'd been any later! So we had our food, then Em and Dave joined us for a cuppa, so we were there until lunchtime.

Then we were off to D's, and about to leave a couple of hours later when young Matt turned up, D's youngest grandson. He's just got back from Mexico where he's been on a conservation project. Sounds like he had a narrow squeak as he was badly stung by wasps out in the jungle, and had to be rushed to a medical facility for anaphylactic shock! He was in hospital then for a few days, but all ok now. He's seeing the GP about getting an epi-pen.

Love to all :) xx

Good timing with breakfast there Kaz! And goodness, Matt had a bit of luck

Thanks, as a neutral Joe enjoyed the game but having seen the result the same can’t be said for Zak.
