Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 16 May 2022, 05:14

Good morning.

Going back to a sensible heat of 30° today. 8-)

Off for my walk shortly, I'll have a swim when I get back then taking Jacob to the airport again.

He's off on a five day work related conference/get to know his colleagues from other countries jolly to Tenerife.

They're staying at a 5 star super posh (this should be interesting for our Jacob! ) hotel.
He had to go shopping last week for appropriate clothing.

I've got a rake of pink grapefruits that I'm going to juice and freeze. Ditto oranges. Ditto lemons.
Cue me running out of Tupperware dishes.

Have a great day.

Morning all.
Grey and rainy here.
I've just had to run one of our neighbours into A and E. He's having difficulty in breathing and has chest pains, I hope he's going to be OK. They could have rung for an ambulance but didn't want to risk waiting for hours. Apparently last time he was in A and E ambulances were arriving there from Leeds and York as their hospitals were under big strain. His partner isn't well herself. They have five dogs and are always out walking them; last time he went past I remarked how tired he looked.
In a while MrsC is off to clean our son's house. good luck with that one.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it was misty and murky earlier but the sun is coming out now. I was up (too) early for a 9.15am appointment with the doctor, just a check up following my bloods last week. Cholesterol was up a bit, she did have the statins chat with me, but accepted my reasons for hoping to stay off them for the time being. It was kinda funny, she did some kind of cardio check on me, weight, height, drinking/smoking history - but because I once used to smoke 50 YEARS AGO, it skewed the result to giving me a 19% chance of stroke or heart attack  However, she seemed happy enough with how I am.

Got home to see my brother before he headed off to go home to Cork. We had a lovely family meal out yesterday evening, and some great pressies although we didn’t expect any. Edward’s BIL is nearing the end, the family have been with him in the hospice since yesterday :(

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny here.

I've altered my Tesco delivery timeslot to 3-4pm, gives us much more time to fit E's walk in. We'll be driving to the cliff top before lunch, just hope it's not too windy. Must be quite a sight, E with his crutches and me hobbling along with a walking stick, a proper couple of old crocks

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all! :)

Another hot day, after a cloudy start. We took the boat trip to Corfu town, which was fabby! :D Had a mooch around the oldJewish Quarter - the Venetians built it - and stopped a couple of times for refreshments :D Boat back again, now chilling out before getting ready for dinner 8-)

Al!y, that made me giggle! I hope J has a good time :D xx

I'm eating a lot of salad too Jan, even though I don't have to cook on this holiday  I might be skinny if I lived in the sun :P  xx

Afternoon, Cruiser :) xx

Vic, it's been raining in Gloucester too, Mick checked our security cameras this morning  xx
