Morning Ally, and everyone :) I'm up very early - been up a good hour - as Mick had a very early train to catch to Exeter for a meeting  Becky is up early too - she is taking Pepper to college today for the final assessment for the dog grooming module of her course. Pepper gets a bath, any clipping she might need (next to none as she's just been done!) and her nails clipped! They are both going on the bus as Mick isn't here to drop Pepper up there - that should be an experience for them both

The guy doing our landscaping at the front of the house starts this morning - it was supposed to be yesterday but there was a delay! So I'll be staying in most of the day to keep an eye on it all...........I need to start on sorting through the vac bags with our summer clothes in, washing and ironing them, so that will keep me out of mischief ;)

Have a good day everyone - Ally I'm glad Ed has had a good time. Say Hi to Paddypix for us all and have a great mini meet 8-) :) xx

Morning all. It was lovely here at 6am but now it is overcast and miserable.

Meetings at school for me this morning and then onto S's school for a meeting with the head of resources about L - I can't believe my baby starts secondary school in September.   I also want to speak to them about the possibility of S using a laptop in lessons - something that one of her teachers mentioned at her parents evening recently.

Then home to have a go at making iced buns!

Morning all :)
Foggy here, the foghorn was going all night and still at it - it never bothers me, I rather like it :)

Kaz hope Pepper enjoys the attention, Minnie would love it :) Ooh will you be stranded indoors if they're doing your front? (Ooer missus)
Saundra lovely to see you, get practising we miss you :)

Ally and Paddypix how exciting :D And your first Paddy, well, I can guarantee you will both talk nineteen to the dozen and wonder where the time has gone :D That's just how it always is :)
Boring old h-word for me, plus washing a piece of material that came from a charity shop and deciding what I might make with it...*thinks*...maybe I'll take a photo and see what ideas anyone can come up with :)
Have a good day all

Morning all :D

Enjoy your meet Ally and Paddypix.

Up bright and early as Mr.J's got an appointment with the GP at 10.30 to discuss the results of his hips/knee xrays. Not expecting to be told much more than before, probably will find things have deteriorated a bit over the last couple of years. Because the GP he saw before the xrays said they're not qualified to discuss all the options, latest operations etc, he's decided he probably should see a consultant to find out exactly what could be done. Having said that I think it's doubtful he's going to go with whatever's advised unless the consultant comes up with a compelling reason why he should, but at least he'll know what the score is.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning chums :D Brightening up here I think.
Enjoy your meet Paddy and Ally, what fun! Looking forward to hearing all about it :D
Kaz, you will have to clamber over the garden fence to escape if you need to get out  What are you having done to the garden?
Di, I would love to see a picture of the material you have bought :D
Hope all goes well at the doc's today with Mr J, Jen x
Saundra, don't worry about your spelling, it's just lovely to have you here :D
Good luck with your meeting at school debih and any spare iced buns can be sent to me to dispose of ;)

D is home today, so we hope to do some more gardening and I may also do some more work on my dress. I am actually using the bodice from one pattern and the skirt from another!

  No I can use the front path but thought someobody ought to be ehre - to make cups of tea and let them use the loo, no shops nearby for them to use.....

Becky will be home at lunchtime as Thursday is a half day on her course - Pepper doesn't really like the attention too much Di but Becks is ruthless when it comes to her course :P Seriously she'll be ok, but I'l bet taking her on the bus was hassle  :D

Loz we have grass and iron railings to the front of our house - they are removing the grass - it's full of dandelions and hard to cut cos of the railings and it being a slight slope - and replacing with gravel 8-) The grass goes a fair way back round that corner.......
