Documentary

Last night having missed the programme on TV I watched the Bin Men on my computer.. Doing so brought back painful memories of my time in Indonesia, the poverty and the misery of the homeless. The rich and the poor.. the corruption... The AID that never reached the hungry, my husbands driver earned $1.00 a day, even less if I remember correctly and was heavily subsidised by him.. The Bin man who went out to Djakarta deserves a medal, what a wonderful character and even now beneath the surface minor if little changes have occurred as a result.. This is another country where AID is thrown irresponsibly into a pit of corruption.. We have seen how their justice system works by the death sentence handed out to the English woman who was caught smuggling drugs into Bali, yet the English gang masters have got away with their crimes they greased the right peoples palms!! AID to these countries is never monitored and more than the shipments of food are, they are sold off to the market dealers.

No, not at all  It's just my take on things ;) I get overwhelmed by such things and try not to dwell. I do give to some charities, I try to use my vote wisely, but otherwise concentrate on myself and my own family............otherwise as I said I would get very overwhelmed and depressed by all the sadness and wickedness in the world! :?
