Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 13 Jan 2022, 06:28

Good morning.

Yesterday's forecast of rain was spot on. It did just that from 10 till noon then was perfectly lovely for the rest of the day. :D
Sunny today.

I sat outside having lunch with two friends....one of them was telling us about her husband who had fallen off his ladders last Thursday whilst cleaning upstairs windows breaking two ribs, dislocating his shoulder and needing 32 stitches in his hand.

It's dad's birthday today, my first one without him. :(

Don's booked us a night in Nerja knowing how much I love the place.
Being there today will do me good. A walk on the beach is good for the soul.
There's a beautiful little church so I'll go in and light candles for mum and dad. xxx

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning everyone

Happy heavenly birthday to your dad Ally..... it would have been my dad's on the 10th of this month x
A day / evening out in Nerja will be lovely for you and lighting that candle will be very special (((hugs)))

I took my car for it's MOT yesterday and got the brakes fixed. Nadine and I had a lovely lunch out (trusty laptop made up the lunch party). Poor staff at the restaurant though - their gas supply failed in the morning; they managed to get it back for a few hours and then it failed again just as the lunch time rush was starting so about 80% of items had to be taken off their menu. Some people got really shirty with the staff; but hats off to them they just gritted their teeth and smiled their way through the day. The food that we had was absolutely amazing so the chef did really well

Today is a usual / usual. Got a banana loaf in the oven (had some bananas that either needed to be used up or chucked; they couldn't last another day as they were). I may be on standby to drop Thomas off at college later today but won't know until about 11ish. Other than that doing the usual work / pootle mix

have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s another sunny morning here. We will be heading off to dance practice soon, then back in time to be here when Michael and Kellie arrive after school. Then busy with them until 6ish.

Big hug, Ally xxx

Good morning all.

It is gorgeous here. Clear, calm and cool so I am off out, a good drive out. There is the very best pork pie shop in Skipton, we'll see.

Hugs for Ally and enjoy the banana boat, Ria.

Keep on keeping on you lot.

Afternoon all :)

(((((Ally)))))

Well I am currently in D's other living room, while she's taking her Drivers Awareness course in the main one!! She got a speeding ticket a while ago, and these courses are the alternative to getting points. D is not very good on technical stuff so I am her "technical advisor" in other words the blind leading the blind, but I have managed to get her in OK  :cute: There was a slight panic earlier, as she'd told me this thing was on Zoom, so I had installed Zoom for her, and we'd had a few practice runs, BUT when I checked the email earlier it said Microsoft Teams    Sooo I I installed that, but was a bit nervous, being very used to Zoom but a complete Teams virgin :P   I am not allowed in the room, but am within earshot if something goes belly up :geek: :geek:

It's two and a half hours, I have my kindle to play on, or read, so that's ok.

I have Pilates tonight, I will certainly need the relaxation session at the end after all this :P :P

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon all, it's a lovely day here - we've just been out for a walk round the block, and as there's no wind, so no wind-chill factor, it seems quite mild. There's still frost on the front lawn, though, which is north-facing and hasn't caught the sun.

The sun's bright enough that even the Infernal Device on the roof is currently busily producing hot water. :D

We spotted a mallard feeding on one of the rainwater pools near the roadway, and the low sun caught his colours beautifully, bright yellow beak and iridescent green head. The crocuses in our back garden are beginning to show through, and lots of clumps of daffodils are coming up around the trees in the park.

Hope you got your home-made pork pie, WM, and fingers crossed D gets through her course, Kaz.
