Off to Ourique in a mo, need to sort out the prescriptions and then we'll have a wander around the market.

Back for breakfast, then meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon.

Morning, we’ve woken to six inches of snow with deeper drifts

The forecast only said light snow showers, currently the main roads are struggling but hopefully they’ll clear as the day goes on. Joe’s driving back from Cornwall shortly to bring Amanda back for her Dad’s surprise 60th birthday meal

Not sure what’s happening today now, Shannon was supposed to be coming so that’s not certain now. John’s booked to have his booster but not until this evening so hopefully that’ll still happen.

Hope everyone’s not too badly affected by the weather and that the wedding Kaz is at goes as planned and all have a lovely, memorable day after such a long wait xx

Jo our main problem here is the wind! Massively strong but not as strong as it was last night! The room and bed was super comfy but the sash window was whistling on and off all night! Still, a nice hot shower and good bobas sorted us out Really looking forward to a smashing day

Oh and there’s snow at home as the security cameras picked it up in the early hours

We have snow too.
The main road between Wakefield and Barnsley was closed at Newmillerdam earlier. The snow seems to be melting a bit now though and the wind has dropped.
The east coast is supposed to be getting some bad weather today, I hope Saundra and Jen miss it.
Given what it is like outside I'll be mostly inside!
A spot of batch cooking this afternoon and TV tonight.

Cloudy now, after a lovely start.

Prescriptions all sorted Saw Dr Paulo, who was the one who issued them, so didn't have to explain too much. And I have excema not psoriasis apparently, so a cream for that, for 10 days and if not cleared up, pop back to see him.

The market was very good, lots of different stalls. Bought cake, cheese and honey

Woke up to bright sunshine and then out of nowhere we had thunder and heavy hailstones. The sun's out again, but it's windy so I'm sure it's very chilly. Ooops spoke too soon it's coming over very dark again, could be in for more hail

I still haven't got round to watching La La Land Ally, let me know what you think.

If wind surfers in the bay and two of them belong to the lifeboat crew the idiots our vaccination clinic has been moved into the doctors in pleased to say

Our town Xmas tree that was light last night is now trashed to shreds

Not too bad here in North Dorset; the wind is coming from the north, and whilst very strong, it isn't as bad compared with a traditional south-westerly which funnels up the Vale. I did take the precaution of putting all the wheelie bins together up the back passage yesterday evening, and some of next door's rubbish did blow onto out front lawn - all cleared up now.

We've had some rain, but again not a huge amount, it's been sunshine and showers since around 11:00. They did forecast sleet for us but we haven't had any as far as we're aware.

The wind chill factor makes it extremely cold outside, though, so no football match for me this afternoon!

Those wind surfers must be right idiots, Saundra.

We've cancelled our bar trip. The wind is so strong and it feels really cold outside. The fire is lit and we're staying put.

Grumpy feeling a bit rough, so he's had some hot chocolate, a very large brandy and is walking around with his dressing gown on as well
