Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 17 Apr 2013, 06:14

Good morning :D

It's hazy at the moment but another day of loveliness is forecast. :D 8-) 8-) 8-)

Quick walk for me then we're over to mum and dad's for a walk along the coast and lunch at a chiringuito. :D :D

Popping into Ikea and Carre Four for some bits after that...dad will watch the planes as they fly right over Ikea.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Morning everyone
Hippy and kindy for us today.
And in bed before 6. It's last week of the school term, and its really showing, they are so tired.

Had lots of rain the last few days. The house keeps creaking as the ground swells, lol.

Morning both :) Up early here as Mick had a call out just after 6.30  It's raining, which is a shame after the lovely day yesterday, but it's warmer and better weather forecast for later in the week 8-) Plenty of sorting out to be done here in prep for the skip coming on Friday. It's all go here now Spring's arrived as we're also having the lawn removed from the front of our house next week, and gravelled over 8-)

Ally have a lovely day with your parents :D

Weka is your house timber framed then, if it expands with rain?

Margaret Thatcher's funeral today and the news is already full of it, of course. I think one of my first strong memories is of watching Churchill's funeral on our tiny black and white set - in 1965

Have a good day everyone xxxxx

Hi Kaz, yes, concrete floor, but wooden frames. Very unusual here for them to be anything else. Already the laundry door is shutting easier and the shower do is staying closed. Looks like we are in for rain o the next 7 days.

Parliament is tonight voting on allowing gay marriage. Seems to be a forgone conclusion, and the tv was it showing pics of street parties. The actual vote will be in an hour or so.

I wonder if we will see any of the funeral on our tv, or if we will us get the news snippet. I hope the protestors do so tastefully.

Morning :)
Guess what it's wet here - it has stopped raining, but is dull...the forecast still says it will be dry, and maybe even some sun this afternoon.

Yes I remember Churchill's funeral, mainly because our teacher told us all about him that day at junior school. I do understand there being proper coverage of the funeral, but both BBC and ITV were already showing it all instead of any other news. I gave up and put the radio on earlier than usual :)

I guess you did need a good dose of rain after your lovely summer Weka, unlike us who have nowhere for it to go.
Kaz enjoy your clear-out, so satisfying getting rid of stuff :)
Ally enjoy your day, and everyone else too

I hope you get plenty more rain to end your drought Weka - like Di says we have nowhere for ours to go now. Worrying when we had such bad floods here in Gloucester in '07.......................half the city flooded, no electric for days, no piped water for weeks :(

Di enjoy your sunshine if you get it, ours was just gorgeous yesterday! 8-) I'm enjoying the clear out so far - you're dead right, it's very satisfying lol

Morning all. It's grey and wet here.

But I'm at work all morning and then meeting with the head this afternoon (governor stuff) so the wet weather won't affect me anyway!

Morning everyone

Another gorgeous morning and we're off shopping

Then doing nowt, I think.

Grumpy put up the green stuff over the car port and pergola yesterday, so it was lovely to sit out - but not in the sun. Got too hot  8-)

Enjoy your day xx

Good morning all, damp and dreary here but forecast to improve - definitely milder though, it's the first time we haven't had the heat on in the morning. We are watching Mrs. Thatcher's funeral, there is no doubt that no other country does ceremonial occasions like England - Mrs. Thatcher was such a proud Englishwoman and I think she deserves this. No matter what you thought of her policies, she was the only woman prime minister, elected three times, and had a strength of character and purpose seen in very few politicians these days.

I need to do some housework today and then we are going dancing tonight - my feet have just about recovered from the weekend!! Have a good day everyone :)
