Oh I do love a bargain!!!!! (Sainsbury's)

Postby Kaz » 15 Apr 2013, 14:46

Sainsbury's are rolling out a pilot scheme to double up Nectar points - a bit like the Tesco Club Card scheme. Only in selected stores at the moment, but luckily for me my local store is one of them! What happens is you take your Nectar card to the desk, select which department you want to spend the points in - clothing, electrical, homeware - and then they subtract the points from your card and give you a voucher to be used at the till for twice the monetary value of the subtracted points!!

I used £20 worth of points to buy a camera for £40 and then £10 worth to put £20 towards a summer weight duvet and new quilted mattress protector :D :D All stuff I was wanting to buy very soon anyway 8-) 8-)

Thanks Jo!!! Oooh well if you have at least £10 on your nectar card (that's £20 worth of goods) it's well worth a look :D

I think I've got close to £30, British Gas messed up with their customer service and credited my Nectar card with £30 of points which was very nice of them ;)

None near me, and one of our local (isn) Sainsburys has just a huge refurb so I expected that to be there

I'll have to have a look in there when we're out and about, I don't go to Sainsburys very often as it's very out of the way and is only accessible by car, but I hate to miss out on a bargain :P

Thanks fo that tip, Kaz.

We have quite a few Nectar points in hand, and Mrs A is thinking of buying a camera.

Our local branch is participating.

:) That's great Aggers 8-)

What a shame Shell :( This is a pilot scheme though so if it does well I expect they will have it in all stores :)
