Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 16 Aug 2021, 06:03

Good morning.

Meeting up with Michele at the solicitors at 9am then to meetings at a couple of dad's banks.
We should be done by 11.

I'm then going to nip to the hairdresser and get a quick trim to my hair.

Dad had a wee local pub he used and over the past couple of years the staff and customers have warmly enveloped me into their fold which has been absolutely lovely.

I've been told to be there for 5pm today. ;)
There's been whispers of a jolly for me. ;)

I know dad would want me to have a fantastic time so I'll honour his wishes.

He'd insisted I opened my gift from him a couple of weeks ago. It was a Yoda Pandora charm which now has pride of place on my bracelet.

Have a good day.

Morning all, I’m up really early today. The Clinique lady I always deal with messaged me to say she had my face cream at a fantastic price and would she keep one for me, so I am going to collect that and get another couple of bits in Boots. Then back to change and go over to Miss Osc’s to do a bit of gardening. Edward is going to play golf and then will meet me in Miss Osc’s where he will cut the grass.

Happy Birthday Ally, and enjoy the “surprise” jolly xx

Good morning all.
Grey here but not cold.
Our daughter has asked to borrow our jet washer so we'll run it up in a little while.
Eliza has her nursery uniform, she looks so grown up.
Enjoy the surprise party Ally and have a good day Osc and Saundra.
Healing vibes for Jan.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning all

Ally, despite everything I truly wish that you have a very special day today.
That's lovely of the lady Osc - fantastic customer care.
Saundra, breeze but certainly not bright here - but you remind me I have a load of washing in the machine that needs to be hung up.
Crommers, bet little Eliza looks absolutely adorable.

busy morning for me. I'm really really struggling with mites in my chicken coop. It's a plastic one so should really have been simple to wash but the critters just hide everywhere. So I've taken it apart again today and this time removed every single screw / hinge / nut and bolt as well to wash under them. If that doesn't work then it'll be a case of getting plastic dust sheets and enclosing the run and coop and letting off a bomb thing that fumigates the whole caboodle. It's just been a nightmare.

Ongoing 'hopefully home soon' vibes for Jan

have a lovely day all

Afternoon all, can’t believe it’s coming up to 2pm already. It’s like Autumn here today - grey with a very cool wind.

I’m trying to have a more normal day today, I feel like I’ve been here there and everywhere over the past week. Anyway, Bill’s had his early morning and lunchtime walks, the ironing’s been done, the kitchen floor’s been mopped and I’ve cut the lawns. That looked comical on the Ring camera and must’ve amused the neighbours opposite too, Bill’s been extra clingy seeing as people keep going out (he’d got used to us being around much more over the last 18 months) and he’s keeping a close eye on me seeing as I was out for much of Saturday. Anyway, he came out onto the side garden when I was mowing the lawn and he’s there on the camera trotting right alongside me as I’ve gone up and down with the mower.

Crommers, I can’t believe that Eliza’s already off to nursery!

Hope you can get that sorted Ria, it sounds very frustrating!

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon everybody,

After breakfast started ironing. Then was taken to Tesco by one of my wife's cousins. Back home aftera coffee made some phone calls.
After lunch have been to the bank and the garage to pick up some items which I am not leavig in the car.
Have had an email from the scrap dealers to say they will pick it up tomorrow and will then transfer the money.
Back home have made some more phone calls and now going to have a drink and relax.

Have a good day everybody.

Afternoon everyone :)

I managed to break my Kindle last night, and have had real trouble getting into VV on my phone :!: Am finally in!! We had a lovely day yesterday, it was so very good to see Harry, and we had a nice meal down by the river, in the sunshine :)

Ally, I hope your "jolly" is very jolly, you deserve some fun and relaxation. The Yoda charm lovely it sounds ;) xxx

I love a bargain Osc, how lucky to have that lady looking out for her customers 8-) xx

Bright and breezy here too Saundra, this morning was anyway, it's quite cloudy now xxx

Crommers, bet she looked a picture :D xx

Ria, hope you get the chickens sorted out! My friend Emma's daughter keeps chickens (rescued) and has just had to do similar for mites  xxx

Aw, hugs for Billy, Jo ((((((x)))))) He'll soon adapt again, but bless him xxx

Glad the car stuff is getting sorted Cruiser xx

I've been in town with Em, then it's Zumba tonight.

Take care everyone :) xxx

Afternoon all - nice to check in now and then and I am off today after having had a lovely five day break!! (not AL, just the way my days have fallen, I was asked to swap today for Thursday) :)

I am currently home alone and have been since Saturday - Tom has a few days off as he is 'spare' this week at work which often involves him sitting about at home, bored. So he decided, with my 'permission', lol, to take the kids up to the caravan for a few days....he's missed them and tbh their parents, in particular, John, has had a few rubbish months and he thought he'd be doing them all a favour. So that's where he is, I'm having a great time, in charge of the remote, and my beloved music collection which rarely gets out to play (and boy did it yesterday!! ) plus today I arranged to pop into town to meet Jen for a coffee after she'd finished work. Really enjoyed that!!! :)

Ooo Kaz how did you manage to break your Kindle? I saved the link for here to my phone as a web page but you know I can't really manage to type out much more than a couple of sentences on there, hence why I post so sporadically, the odd occasion the laptop is working!!! ;) We have no 'live' telly since last Tuesday - our main transmitter had a major fire then and meant all tv and radio stations were affected - luckily I still have an ancient Skyplus box (non recordable) so I can pick up a few freeview channels on it, and catch up on the regular box including stuff I have pre-recorded, but it has meant the upstairs telly doesn't work so any viewing done in bed has to be either on my phone or the laptop......no idea how long before it will be fixed.....first world problems, huh???

We have sunshine and the odd grey cloud cover today, it's not cold, but it is breezy, after almost a whole day of drizzle yesterday.....the sun popped out around 5pm and the conservatory was suddenly turned into a greenhouse!! Apparently from next week there's going to be a heatwave.....watch this space....

Crommers, Eliza sounds adorable - nursery????
