Morning all

Bit overcast, keeping fingers crossed the rain stays away long enough for the boys to have a walk down to the beach. They plan to arrive quite early, hence we're up at silly o'clock.

We've booked lunch at The Greyhound, makes it easy for me and we haven't had a family meal there since lockdown. Making it a pre/post birthday treat for the boys, we missed seeing Elijah and Noah earlier in the year and Zachery will be 17 in 7 days time.

Couldn't bear to watch Tom Daley diving, just heard he's won a medal, oh what a relief. I'll be able to watch it later without having a heart attack lol More medals won overnight, looking forward to catching up later.

Thoughts are with Ally and family xx

Morning Cruiser and Jen, morning everyone

Cruiser and Jen, we have had some torrential downpours this morning, gutters totally overflowing they couldn't keep up. My brother is here at the moment finishing off the skirting boards; the mitre saw I have and we were using yesterday went wonky and wasn't cutting straight so he had to finish up and come back today with his (much much better quality) tools. So I'm on standby to hold the vacuum cleaner whilst he makes a mess

Got a card and some chocs for S tomorrow so not much else on.

I am defrosting some stuff to make home made pizzas for later and tomorrow but apart from that....

Change of plans, they got caught in a horrendous storm, too dangerous to drive so they've turned back Waiting to hear when they get back home. Disappointed but better safe than sorry.

Morning all, changeable weather here, it’s looking rather grey at the moment. The big news is that we have booked a cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary next year! Goodness only knows what will happen in the world by then The anniversary is in May and we hope to go in early June. We live in hope! I have a wash on but won’t risk hanging it out based on the weather forecast. Usual chores, then reading/knitting/watching Olympics. That is such a shame, Jen, hopefully they will arrive home safely.
