Morning Jan, morning everyone

A sunny and dry morning here as well - unheard of!!!!

Jan, hope it warms up for you and you get that swim in - you've really had very odd weather as well.

Been next door to feed the cats and switch on the radio so they have some noise - they're used to Trish being home all day with the TV on so I figured the radio might comfort them a bit.
Another usual / usual for me. I was going to lop the overhanging branches but am now waiting so upstairs can see it for himself before I do - so instead I'll start removing a large bamboo that's also growing far too big for where it is. It provides a bit of privacy for the flats next door so they can't peer into my bedroom, but needs must - it's also removing sunlight that I'd much rather have. The bedroom I can close curtains / blinds ;-)

I'm also going to try out my new toy - I bought a battery operated lawnmower to try and become a bit more environmentally friendly. Also if the grass clippings are short enough I can chuck some in for the chickens - I'd not want to do that with a petrol mower ;-) I did have a hand mower but have taken that to the allotment as I've got too many corners and edges here that it just wasn't working right.

Ongoing vibes for Ally and family from me as well.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning Jan, Ria, where is everyone?

Looks like being a cracker today, sun, little breeze, passing clouds.

The canopy didn't arrive yesterday. Got a text at 4: 27 to say it is coming by ParcelForce on Wednesday, so a day wasted.

Not much on. I'll go fill the car up later and then change the bedding and put the old stuff in for a wash - forgot it yesterday.

Vibes for Ally and family.xxx

Have a good one everybody, when yo get up, that is. :D

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Thoughts are with Ally and family xx

Hairdresser for me this afternoon, my usual stylist (the owner) is back at work. Not sure if she's been away, but hoping she will still wear a mask. I will, feeling a bit on edge about it tbh. Planning to pop into our smaller Tesco for a few bits on the way home. Haven't been in there since before lockdown so another first. More medals so will be glued to the box when I get back :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s been mostly overcast here today. Edward went to play golf. I set out for a walk on the pier and to buy fish. I started chatting to two ladies I know who were having tea and scones outside the pub next door, ended up talking for 30 minutes and I even popped back in here to get some books for one of them. I went on my walk then, bought some fish and got it into the freezer when I got back. Had my lunch and been reading mostly since then. Miss Osc and SIL have been married 19 years today, not sure where that time has gone

Afternoon all :)

It's been threatening rain here all day, but dry so far. I went into town to have a cuppa with my friend J, then I picked up a few bits for B's birthday tomorrow. I also bought a "Good luck in your new job" card for Harry, as he starts a new job at Thorpe Park tomorrow :D Just got home from D's, and am thinking about tackling the ironing  :cute:

Take care everyone :) xxx

Kaz, a friend of mine (well their son really, but he's a friend to ;-) works there and he loves it. He's a lovely lovely chap, and if you want I can ask him to introduce himself to Harry so Harry has a point of contact if he needs it?

Good luck and well done to Harry! :D

It’s been a busy day. I walked Bill, went into town, there was a hospital appointment for my Dad, did some cleaning, a load of washing, walked Bill again, ironed the washing, put John’s jeans back on the line because the inside of the pockets were still a bit damp and thought an hour in the evening sun would sort that out….and then the heavens opened and they’re now dripping wet.

Thoughts are with Ally and the family x
