Good morning Friday

Postby meriad » 30 Jul 2021, 07:37

Good morning everyone

Well here we are, the end of another week and what cr*p weather again (still) grey, wet and just yuk.

I'm cat sitting for my neighbour for a week - she's away for her annual jaunt to Sidmouth for some folk / music festival that happens there every year. She missed it the last two (first health then Covid) so was uber-excited to be going. So I was there early this morning to sort her gang and will be back there this evening.

I have a busy(ish) day.... helping a friend around 10.30 with some doorbell camera set up, then over to Karl and Nadine so I can be there with Amelia when her case worker comes (they - rightly so - always want another adult in the house), then a nail appointment and then off to a friend for a natter and maybe a quick bite to eat. Thank goodness for the mobility of a laptop :P :P :P

Ongoing vibes for Ally and family x

Have a lovely day all

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Sunny, but that wind is back :cute:

Amazingly slow internet this morning, must be the wind blowing it off course

Watering done and we're going to have a lazy day - no change there then  Floor cleaning is cancelled, it's too hot to run around with the vacuum and mop, so I'll sweep up and do the rest of the cleaning, then do nowt, apart from read, watch the Olympics and eat ;)

Thoughts for Ally, dad and family xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s grey and showery this morning.

I was glad I wore my jacket when I walked Bill! He’s now perched on the arm of the sofa, looking down the hill for the Tesco delivery van. He’s already run around barking when he saw me with the Ikea bags which I unpack the crates into

Tom’s back from his week in North Devon today, not sure if he’s coming home or going to Shannon’s. Joe’s going to some crazy golf place in the Bullring with Amanda later, https://adventuregolf.com/birmingham, which looks like fun!

Thoughts are very much with Ally and the family xx

Morning all :)

Ria, you're such a good friend and neighbour :) :) xxx

Enjoy the Olympics Jan :) xxx

Hope No and Amanda have a great time, Jo :) xxx

Thinking of Ally xxx

It's tipping down here, but I need to go to town. I've been having five minute sessions on a sunbed, a couple of times a week, as I haven't been offered my usual yearly light treatment sessions at GRH. To be honest, I don't think I'd fancy going near the hospital anyway, unless it was vital. It's the only thing that keeps my psoriasis at bay, and I certainly don't want to take the immune suppressing tablets the consultant offered me when I saw her that time (psoriasis is an immune system disease) - if I had, I would have had to shield :? I'll go and see D afterwards.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, it’s fairly miserable here. Lots of heavy rain the early hours but it has gone down to heavy drizzle for the moment. I’m off to the gym in a while, only four in a class but I’ve been quite lucky in getting in off the waitlist, which has happened several times recently. After lunch we will go to the opticians to collect a pair of Edward’s glasses, there was a problem with the reactolight lenses. Yesterday we ended up going to a shopping centre that has an M&S as I had a food voucher that I got as a present at Christmas, got ourselves a nice dinner :D and we had a potter around the shops. Edward got some shorts, which is probably why it is raining today

Good morning everybody.

It was raining when I got up but it has stopped and the sun is trying to come out.
Just been pootling. Will try and hoover after lunch.
Have decided to have tiles on the kitchen floor. Have found three I like. One of Audrey's cousins and a fiend are comung this afternoon to help me choose which one to have.
The tiler is very busy and it may be October before he can come and fit the tiles.
Lots of vibes and hugs for Ally and her family.
Have a good day everbody.

Morning all....

Where has the heat gone - 10 °C feels like 8 °C. and it's tipping down.!?

Special vibes for Ally xxx

Nothing much on Car needs filling up and that could double up into a food shop. Last day for the NDNs to be isolating after two of them, him and the little lad, caught Covid from the school so I will get a few bits in for them as I have been doing.

A few of us were hoping that the local Village Hotel would have its Friday music quiz back on but the bars are still only open for staying guests.

Ah well, another duvet day.... stay safe you all.

Morning all :D

Our weather can't make up it's mind, one minute sunshine, the next showers

Thinking of Ally and family xx

We had a good session in the garden yesterday, the patio's now looking lovely and clean, wonder how long it will be before a seagull flies over ;) E managed to clear a lot of the mess in the corner behind our garage/shed, still lots more to do, but it was a good start. Not today though, it's the usual Friday wash day, that and the bed change is more than enough for me. More medals so when I get the chance I'll be playing catch up.

Hope you all have a good day xx
